Meet Tabitha Mellette

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tabitha Mellette. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Tabitha, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

I found my purpose through motherhood and my faith in God. Becoming a mother changed everything for me it gave my life a deeper meaning and a new sense of responsibility. My children became my greatest motivation. I wanted to show them what strength, resilience, and faith look like in action. Through every challenge and season of uncertainty, I leaned on God for guidance. He reminded me that my story, my pain, and my healing could serve a greater purpose.

I realized that I was meant to create spaces of comfort, healing, and hope not just for my children, but for other children and families going through hard times. That’s what led me to write My Heart Remembers and launch The Comfort Pages. My purpose is to turn my personal experiences into tools that uplift others. It’s not always easy, but knowing that I’m walking in God’s plan for my life keeps me going.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m Tabitha Mellette author, mother, and founder of The Comfort Pages, a heartfelt brand dedicated to creating books and resources that help children process grief, emotions, and life’s big feelings. My journey started from a deeply personal place: navigating loss while trying to help my own children make sense of it all. Through prayer, reflection, and faith, God revealed to me that what helped us could help others too.

What makes The Comfort Pages special is its mission to bring healing through storytelling, affirmations, and creative expression. Our books are more than just stories; they are tools of comfort. From My Heart Remembers to our upcoming children’s grief journal and memory-themed coloring books, each piece is designed to give families the language and space to talk about hard things in a gentle, empowering way.

I’m excited to share that I’ll be participating in the Friends of the Library Book Fest on Saturday, September 27, 2025, in Harrington, Delaware my first public event sharing this work with the community! I’m also working on expanding our product line to include “Memory Buddies,” plush dolls paired with journal prompts, to give children a comforting way to express themselves.

Everything I do is rooted in my love for my children and my belief that God gives us the strength and creativity to turn pain into purpose. I hope The Comfort Pages can be a blessing to every family it reaches.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three qualities that made the biggest impact on my journey are faith, resilience, and purpose-driven creativity.

1.Faith – My faith in God has been the foundation of everything. It’s what I leaned on during my lowest moments, and it’s what continues to guide my steps today. When you walk in faith, you don’t need to have all the answers you just need to trust the One who does. For those starting out, stay spiritually grounded. Pray over your ideas, your next steps, and your vision. God will open doors no one else can.

2.Resilience – Life throws unexpected challenges, especially when you’re a parent, entrepreneur, or creative. There were times I wanted to give up, but my children kept me going. I had to learn to bounce back, to keep showing up even when things felt uncertain. My advice: Don’t be afraid to fail. Every setback is a setup for something greater if you keep pressing forward.

3.Purpose-Driven Creativity – I’ve always loved writing and creating, but once I aligned my creativity with my purpose to help children heal and grow everything changed. If you’re just starting out, take time to reflect on why you do what you do. When your heart is in it, your work will speak for itself, and the right people will be drawn to it.

No matter where you’re starting from, know that growth is a journey. Be patient, stay true to your purpose, and trust that with faith and consistency, your work will make a lasting impact.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Yes, absolutely! I believe collaboration is a powerful way to expand impact and reach more hearts. I’m looking to connect with fellow authors, grief counselors, educators, mental health advocates, and nonprofit organizations who share a passion for helping children and families navigate loss, healing, and emotional wellness.

I’m especially interested in partnering on community events, school programs, pop-ups, and projects that align with The Comfort Pages’ mission of supporting children through creative, faith-based, and emotionally supportive tools like books, journals, and memory resources.

If you’re reading this and feel aligned with my mission or have an idea that could serve our communities together I’d love to hear from you! You can reach me through my website at www.TheComfortPages.com or send a message via Facebook @thecomfortpages and email at the [email protected]
