Meet Tabitha Turnier

We recently connected with Tabitha Turnier and have shared our conversation below.

Tabitha , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?

My resilience is rooted within me and shaped by the example I witnessed growing up watching my mother, an entrepreneur, who worked tirelessly to balance motherhood and running her business.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

My name is Tabitha Turnier, a premier event planner and production coordinator from Mount Vernon, NY, specializing in celebratory occasions and all things live-event related. Since launching Turnier Events LLC, I’ve been curating unforgettable experiences, including my signature annual gathering, The Bossy Brunch; an empowering event that brings entrepreneurs and like-minded individuals together to connect, collaborate, and celebrate one another.

For over six years, I’ve poured my passion into Turnier Events, and I truly love what I do. The highlight of my work is seeing the joy and amazement on my clients’ faces when their vision transforms from an idea into a beautifully executed reality. Later this year, I’m excited to take the next step by opening a physical space to serve as the home for Turnier Events, along with a few other exciting expansions on the horizon!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, I’d say the three qualities that had the biggest impact on my journey are passion, integrity, and talent. These have been the driving forces behind everything I do. My advice for anyone early in their journey is to pursue something you truly love. You have to want to get up every day, no matter how you’re feeling and put your best foot forward.

Being consistency and dedicated to what you love will always set you apart.

How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?

If I knew I only had a decade left to live, I’d fill it with everything my heart desires which includes, traveling to every destination on my bucket list, soaking up as much time as possible with the people I love, and investing in experiences that bring me pure joy above all else
