Tae & Nita, thank you so much for joining us and offering your lessons and wisdom for our readers. One of the things we most admire about you is your generosity and so we’d love if you could talk to us about where you think your generosity comes from.

Our generosity comes from the way we were both raised and the values we’ve built together. We’ve seen firsthand how powerful love, kindness, and support can be not just in our own lives, but in the lives of others. For us, giving isn’t about having a lot, it’s about sharing what we do have and showing up for people the way we’d want someone to show up for us.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

We’re Tae & Nita, we’re lesbian couple and the creators behind the YouTube channel Tae and Nita. Our channel is a celebration of love, authenticity, and everyday moments from cooking vlogs and travel adventures to real, unfiltered glimpses into our relationship.

What makes our brand special is that it’s rooted in genuine connection. We created our platform not just to document our lives, but to represent and uplift queer love in a way that feels real, warm, and inspiring. For us, visibility matters and we’re proud to share our story with the hope that it encourages others to live boldly and love freely.

We’re currently expanding our content to include interactive cook-alongs, new travel experiences, and collaborations that bring even more heart (and fun) to our channel. Ultimately, our goal is to continue building a community where everyone feels seen, valued, and welcome.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back on our journey, the three most impactful qualities have been authenticity, consistency, and communication.

1. Authenticity: Being true to ourselves—both as individuals and as a couple—has been the foundation of everything we do. People connect with realness, and when you show up as your full, unapologetic self, it gives others permission to do the same. Our advice: don’t try to fit into a mold let your uniqueness be your superpower.

2. Consistency: Growth doesn’t happen overnight. Whether it’s posting content, engaging with your community, or refining your craft, showing up consistently makes a huge difference. Even on the days when motivation is low, discipline and intention will carry you. Start small if you have to but keep showing up.

3. Communication: As a couple and creative team, learning how to communicate openly and respectfully has been key. It’s how we stay aligned, support each other’s visions, and grow stronger together. For anyone working with a partner or in a team, prioritize understanding over being right, and always lead with love.

To anyone just starting: trust the process, give yourself grace, and remember impact comes from connection, not perfection.

We love working with creators, brands, and organizations that align with our values especially those who celebrate love, community, creativity, and authenticity. Whether it’s a joint video, a cooking or travel feature, or a brand campaign that speaks to our audience, we’re always excited to bring fresh, meaningful content to life.
