Meet Tajai Jones

We recently connected with Tajai Jones and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Tajai, thank you for joining us today and sharing your experiences and acquired wisdom with us. Burnout is a huge topic these days and so we’d love to kick things off by discussing your thoughts on overcoming or avoiding burnout
I’m currently living in the reality of overcoming burnout. Drama Queen Collection has been my vision from the beginning but there were times that I lost sight of its main purpose of assisting other women in seeing the crown of beauty that they posses because I personally didn’t feel the love or support that I thought I should have. The world is changing and since Covid things have just not been the same. I took a step back and fell in love with the process of creating again. And not with the end result of public success but now I’ve shifted and feel this energetic surge to give more women the confidence through my cosmetic line to show up every day as themselves full of DRAMA and fierce. This is for the queens who never got over playing dress up; those that know a little eyeshadow and lip gloss can change your mood or your day.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Drama Queen is a line of cosmetics for all ages. From the natural girl who likes mascara and lipgloss to the girl who loves full glam with glitter and bold lips. There are a lot of vendor events we will be setting up for this year just follow me on IG @Dramaqueencollection for updates.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Perseverance, ambition, and patience are the qualities it’s took to make Drama Queen successful. With every fail I’ve gained knowledge, don’t be afraid to jump and learn and grow on the way.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
The book that has played an important role in my development would be The Four Agreements. 1.Be impeccable with your word.
2.Dont take anything personal.
3.Dont make assumptions.
4.Always do your best.
I’ve read this book twice.
