Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Talent Gwete. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Talent, you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?
I am a very spiritual person and I was raised by my grandmother properly
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
My patience mainly was a major like one of my personal favorite quality that I posses
I also feel like I am a very hard working person anytime anyday I am ready to work and the other thing is I appreciate how people notice and see that and also appreciate me
The third quality/ skill would be creativity. I am also grateful for that. Progressing with life I have been able to manage certain obstacles and issues in life with being creative so it has not only just been part of my art and career but it’s also has become a huge part of me as a person
What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
So before answering this I am going to do my best to keep it very very short but it might not be (wink). Around the end of January just after my birthday I visited this space in Harare and I met the owner of the place we didn’t talk that very same day. There was an interesting event going on (which I now know were Sunday Markets). I had my camera did a small visual of the place and what was going on. The owner ( my favorite person right now:) ) sent me the longest voice message. We agreed to meet and have some coffee and 10 months down the line we are here doing this interview .
