Meet Tam Curl

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tam Curl. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tam below.

Hi Tam, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

I got my work ethic from my mom and dad. I lived with my mom but visited with my dad every other weekend, but I have known both of them to be hard working people. I watched my mom get up and go to work every morning which inspired me as I grew up. My dad was an engineer, and he was always hard at work out there on those construction sites. I was taught and raised to work for what you want so that’s why I started working when I was 14 years old. My stepdad was a hardworking man as well. He got injured and wasn’t able to work a regular job anymore, but he still found a way to help out by starting his own lawncare business. I was surrounded by many hard workers so it was only right for me to do develop extradinary work ethic skills.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am the Creator of Motivational Hub House and MHH is your go to destination for all things uplifting, inspiring, and empowering. My greatest joy is to encourage and motivate others to be the best version of themselves, so that is just one of the reasons why I started my business. I have always been a positive person by nature, so I want to encourage others to be positive as well. Life is not always easy but if we make a decision to see the good in every situation, being happy and staying positive will be at the top of the list when time gets tough. When I first created my business, I had the children of the future in mind. I believe that if we instill positivity at an early age, it will stay with them as they grow older. However, I never want to forget about the parents and guardians or the village that it takes to raise a child, so on my website, MotivationalHubHouse.com, I offer free printable affirmation calendars, an affirmation app for adults (Peacefully Empowered) and children (Dare to Believe) at an affordable cost. I also have affirmation coloring books for children for ages one year old and up which are now available on Amazon, and by the first quarter of next year, I will have an affirmation word search for children ages 5 and up as well.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Three qualities or areas of knowledge that have impacted my journey so far are determination, dedication, and the skills I gained through the Apps Without Code program, which helped me develop the affirmation apps I created for both adults and children.

The advice I would give to anyone deciding to start a business, career change, or anything that their hearts desire is to, never give up on yourself, believe in yourself, and never be afraid to learn new things. You might have to invest in some classes or a program to help further your dreams or goals so don’t be afraid to invest your time or money. Always keep an opened mind and an open heart.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I am looking for folks to partner or collaborate with. I would love to collaborate with any type of schools, daycares, or learning centers to perhaps gain exposure to my children’s affirmation app (Dare to Believe). I would love to partner with or collaborate with local bookstores to help me get the word out about my affirmation coloring books. I can be reached on my website Motivationalhubhouse.com on the contact form or my email address at [email protected].
