Meet Tamara Brown

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tamara Brown a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Tamara, so good to have you with us today. We’ve got so much planned, so let’s jump right into it. We live in such a diverse world, and in many ways the world is getting better and more understanding but it’s far from perfect. There are so many times where folks find themselves in rooms or situations where they are the only ones that look like them – that might mean being the only woman of color in the room or the only person who grew up in a certain environment etc. Can you talk to us about how you’ve managed to thrive even in situations where you were the only one in the room?

Being the only one in the room has never made me shrink — in fact, I love standing out. I don’t tailor my actions or dim my light to make others comfortable. I am who I am, fully and unapologetically. I’ve never needed outside validation because I know exactly who I am, where I come from, and where I’m going. I show up with confidence, not arrogance — just a deep trust in my abilities, my knowledge, and my story. I am imperfectly perfect, and I allow my light to shine boldly, even when others might not understand it. The lioness never concerns herself with the opinions of sheep, and that’s not cocky, that’s clarity.
When I walk into spaces where no one looks like me, I know I belong. I don’t conform, I transform the atmosphere. I lead by example, I stand in my truth, and I keep building until the room doesn’t feel so lonely anymore.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I wear a lot of hats, but everything I do is rooted in one mission: to create, educate, and empower through wellness, beauty, and business. JAK’s Infinity Group is the parent company for several powerhouse brands — including JAK’s Essentials, our all-natural skincare and wellness brand; JAK’s Private Label Manufacturing, where we help beauty entrepreneurs bring their product dreams to life; Oasis Spa Day Retreats, which create healing spaces for rest and renewal; and JAK’s University, our educational platform for those who want to learn formulation, holistic health, and business from the ground up.

What’s special about my work is that every formula, retreat, class, and mentorship is crafted with intention, integrity, and deep ancestral wisdom. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all beauty — I believe in creating with purpose and customizing for real results. From the lab to the shelf, and from idea to execution, I’m involved in every step. What excites me most is watching other people thrive from what I’ve created — whether it’s a client launching their first skincare line, a retreat guest releasing years of stress, or a student mastering their own formulation journey. And yes — we’re expanding.
This year, we’re working toward opening a fully compliant manufacturing facility designed to serve both small and large-scale beauty brands. We’re also scaling our Oasis Retreats and launching new skincare collections focused on detox, aging, and acne-prone skin. My private label division is also onboarding new clients and rolling out a more streamlined, professional experience — complete with SOPs, branded onboarding packets, and customized support.

If you’re looking for a brand that leads with heart, creates with science, and delivers results with soul — welcome to the world of JAK’s Infinity Group. We’re just getting started.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are resilience, resourcefulness, and unwavering drive and determination. Resilience kept me going when everything around me said stop. I’ve faced personal struggles, business losses, and moments that could have broken me but I chose to rise every single time. I’ve learned that strength is built in the struggle, and failure isn’t final it’s just a part of the process. Resourcefulness taught me how to make something out of nothing. I didn’t always have the money, the team, or the perfect setup, but I found a way. I used what I had, learned what I didn’t know, and created opportunities when doors were closed. And most of all, it was my drive and determination that made the difference. I don’t give up. When I set my mind to something, I go all in whether I’m formulating in the lab, launching a new brand, or helping someone else build theirs. For anyone just starting out, my advice is this: don’t wait until everything is perfect. Start where you are, use what you have, and stay focused. Trust your vision, bet on yourself, and let your fire lead the way.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Yes — I’m always open to partnering and collaborating with purpose-driven people and brands. I’m especially looking to connect with beauty and wellness entrepreneurs, brand strategists, holistic practitioners, estheticians, coaches, and creators who are passionate about clean beauty, community empowerment, and innovation. Whether you’re building a skincare line, planning a wellness event, developing educational content, or simply want to bring something meaningful into the world — I’d love to explore how we can work together.

I’m also open to collaborating with larger companies that align with our mission and are looking to expand into custom manufacturing, product development, or co-branded experiences. From private label partnerships to retreat collaborations and educational projects, JAK’s Infinity Group has the infrastructure, creativity, and heart to bring powerful ideas to life.

If you’re reading this and something is resonating, let’s talk. You can connect with me directly through our website at www.jaksinfinitygroup.com or email tbrown@jaksessentials.com. Let’s build something impactful together.
