Meet Tammy Rodgers

We were lucky to catch up with Tammy Rodgers recently and have shared our conversation below.

Tammy, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
My resilience comes from my upbringing and God! I was raised by a farmer ( milk man) who always put his family first, we may have never been rich but we were rich in LOVE and FAITH and my sister and I wanted for nothing. He is the only man who has shown me what true unconditional honest love really is. When we moved to AZ when I was 7 he got a job working for Crystal bottle waters and he delivered water from sun up till after dark I sometimes went to bed before he got home. He never complained he just did what needed to be done so we had a roof over our head and food in our bellies. God has always given me that extra strength to go the extra mile even when times are really tough. Quitting was never allowed. I started working side work for cash when I was 14.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
In this season of my life, my life is very busy, managing a Puparazzi Mobile Pet Spaw and working as a local stylist plus building a National franchise brand for my retirement life. I wear many hats trying to build a Boutique hands on Franchise while still working as a stylist to keep all things going. This is where resilience and tenacity come in handy. Our mobile pet spaw Franchise has a philanthropy section where we partner as an individual franchise location with other shelters or non profit rescues to help them get pups adopted, educate the public on spaying and neutering their pets and offering our services for free .

Our mobile Pet spaw focuses on the care of your pets and the experience you should receive as a customer of ours. We are more than your pet stylist, we are your pets personal beauty agent!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I think the 3 biggest areas of knowledge I have are my years of experience in the industry, my people skills, and my independence. I think a person early in their journey should find a few mentors that have different strengths to help them build upon their knowledge . Continuing education is always important even if you are a seasoned veteran as things constantly are evolving.

Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?
As an emerging brand we are faced with what most brands face and that is just getting that snowball rolling. franchising is a numbers game so all spokes of the wheel need to be used. That comes from marketing, leads, follow ups, closing, education, training and the Grand opening! We have recently become a portfolio brand with Franserve consulting group which allows someone else to be handling the sales portion of the business and allow me to do what I do best to train, inspire and mentor.
