Meet Taneka Brazier

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Taneka Brazier a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Taneka, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
Finding my purpose? When I think about purpose I think of living. Many individuals aren’t living they’re just existing. Before finding my purpose I felt as if I was trapped somewhere I could not get myself out of mentally, physically, emotionally etc. Trapped meaning, I didn’t know my focus or my purpose when it came to even thinking of having a purpose. It took me to fail plenty of times to finally find my purpose and realize I was the only person who could make this purpose a priority in my life. When I think about purpose, I think about my ultimate goals and aspirations. Staying focused really helped me understand that in order to find your purpose you will need to heal yourself from any past experiences that slowed down the process of finding that specific purpose. I learned that its fine to fail as many times as you may have to. After failing, the main focus should be to remain strong, never give up and have a stronger mindset.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a Multi-Entrupreneur. I am happy to say I am the owner of three different businesses. My most recent business that I launched is a business by the name of MORE lemonade by BLT Investments. This is a new lemonade business where we make our lemonade fresh by hand. We offer more than four flavored lemonades in a 32 ounce cup. We have participated in community events after launching MORE lemonade. Our gaol is to become world wide, attend more community events and be one of the biggest lemonade businesses in the world. Before starting this business I always had thoughts of starting a lemonade business because lemonade has always been my favorite, but I did not know which route to take. I learned that in order to be successful you must take risks. When starting MORE lemonade I took a risk because I knew this was something I had a passion for and I knew it was time to take action if I wanted to reach my goal. Starting this business makes me feel really good and I look forward to serving MORE lemonades to individuals around the world. Some advise I would give is to never give up on your dreams whether you feel as if you are making progress or not. Set a goal, work everyday towards reaching that goal and knowing that taking risks aren’t always a bad idea.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, three qualities or skills that were impactful in my journey was knowing there is always more room to learn, being positive and being willing to compromise things in life. I learned that you can learn anything from anyone. No matter age, race or even background. Everyone has had different experiences and has learned things that you may have not learned. I am always willing to have open ears and listen to another individual teachings. I am also willings to share knowledge that I have learned to other individuals. Helping others and having pure intentions towards others is a great quality to have. Being positive helped me understand that your mind is in control. We all have bad days but our bad day can become better if our mindset is positive. Knowing that good things will still happen and installing positive thoughts in any situation makes you feel better overall. In life, making compromises may be one of the most different things you may encounter. When making compromises you must understand that you’re making these decisions to have better results within your life. I would say making comprises has been the most impactful during my journey. After making compromises I realized that I made compromises to better myself and better my mental ability to make more logical decisions.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
One of my favorite books will always be: Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. This book opened my eyes to many things when it comes to my daily life and personal goals. One valuable lesson that I learned from this book is that rich does not always mean your’e rich from money. You can be rich in many other ways. For example you will need to change your mindset to become rich so before becoming rich from a money perspective you must become rich mentally. Also, meeting new people will take you a long way in life and within your goals and success. Never be afraid to take new venture, meet new friends, having partners or a team that will help you achieve goals that you are looking to reach. this book made me understand that having a great team to work with with will be vey logical.
