We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tanisha Rodriguez. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tanisha below.
Tanisha, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
My resilience comes from the phenomenal Black women who raised me. I’m a product of a single mother who was raised by a widowed mother. I’m the first born, immigrant child who had to navigate a new country, school, socioeconomic status at 13. As hard as life was for me growing up, I understand now it built my resilience but I also believe that getting language, meaning therapy or spiritual guidance, also helped.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I curate people and culture strategies for organizations., under my brand PAC TEAM. What does that mean? I help businesses think and then be proactive about how they attract, retain, and promote their employees. I develop employee engagement, recruitment and DEIB plans that promotes the work culture needed to make their employees content and help the organization be successful. What I love most is building relationships with people who are passionate about the work and the teams we’re supporting.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Intuition- I’ve always been a very intuitive person but as I get older I’ve noticed how spot on my intuition is.
Collaboration- Find people who are excited to learn and grow with you.
Determination- there will be so many people and/or situations that will work hard to convince you that you’re making a mistake and to turn back- DON’T!
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I love collaborating with others. I’d love to find partners, not clients. I want to find partners who want to elevate their workplace. They believe that everyone in an organization deserves equity and support. If that’s you please contact PAC TEAM to help you build this space for your team. Clients pay you to get a task done and walk away. I prefer to build a relationship and get to know my partners.
