We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tanisha Taylor. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tanisha below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Tanisha with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
It has always been in my DNA to work hard and smart. I realized my work ethic in 1990 when I received an option to participate in the new state program for early college work. I attended Trinity High School, which provided excellent college preparation. My mother encouraged hard work and a positive attitude toward trying new things, even challenging journeys. I was selected with a couple of students to pilot this new state-approved program for college credit. I attended high school and college and worked part-time during my junior and senior years. I recalled many hours completing assignments that sometimes took five to six hours to complete. I learned how to work hard in my adolescence when it was time to reach a goal. Consistency and hard work with intelligent plans were the keys to my success after completing the program and graduating in 1992. I entered Baldwin Wallace College as a sophomore, which 30 years ago was indeed a blessing.
This work ethic continued with me in college, my career path, and my entrepreneurial journey. When you start learning a skill set at a young age and consistently develop the foundation, it becomes natural for you to do it. I love working with young adults because many skills I learned and practiced started in adulthood. Your foundation in life does matter, and I am very thankful to have experienced challenges and obstacles at a young age. It makes you strong enough to balance these moments in adulthood.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Tanisha Taylor Coaching is more than just me; it’s a community effort. We have leaders and guest speakers who contribute to our mission. Our services are divided into two main offerings. Our Coaching Offerings Include Two Key Programs Tailored for Young Adults: Life Solutions Young Adult Community: This program covers essential areas such as faith, fitness and health, relationship dynamics, and finances. It provides a life approach to managing challenges and making informed decisions.
Entrepreneurship Young Adult Community: This program is designed for those interested in exploring the business world. It offers insights into whether entrepreneurship is a good fit, the key players in the field, and the systems needed for success. It helps young adults navigate the complexities of starting and managing a business. Life Solutions covers faith, health, relationships, and finances. At the same time, the Entrepreneurship Community helps young adults understand the business world, from determining if it’s the right fit to learning essential systems and players.
What sets us apart is our focus on young adults, an area often underserved. We simplify the complexities of adulthood, making it easier for young people to make informed decisions. With access to virtual communities and the Tanisha Taylor Coaching APP at their fingertips, any young adult can benefit from the resources and tools available.
I want readers to know the value of our services. We spend money on many things, yet we sometimes must consider whether it adds value to our lives. I needed to make our coaching affordable to reach more young people. A monthly subscription to Tanisha Taylor Coaching is $19.99 a month, like a Netflix subscription, and for that, young adults gain access to expert resources. We help them avoid costly mistakes and make better life choices. For parents and grandparents, Tanisha Taylor Coaching offers a valuable, informed voice in their children’s lives, guiding what friends or other sources might offer.
We are excited to announce our hybrid program, starting in 2025. This program provides Life Journey Workshops in multiple locations for young adults who want to attend in person. We are excited as we continue to grow and applaud young adults making a positive impact in society.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The value of self-education is that you are responsible for your knowledge level. Also, could you try things yourself first if it takes a little time? Because of your knowledge, you will feel confident in what you do in your business and how to create a process for others to follow.
Serving others is the most rewarding way to grow personally and in your business. Giving back to others helps you learn about yourself and others. For example, I’m involved in several organizations that focus on giving back, and it’s a rewarding experience, especially when others in your family or company are involved.
Find your fun side and be creative. It’s okay to dream and be childlike. We need happier, energetic, and fun-loving people in life and business. I’m the most productive when I take the pressure off, relax, and let my creativity flow. My joy is contagious, and it brings life to others. I love to see others come alive when and be productive in their journey.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Yes, I love to collaborate with others. It is such a joy to work with individuals and companies. I want to collaborate with organizations, churches, and education systems that work with young adults in life solutions in finance, entrepreneurship, and life skills. In 2025, I would like to be a guest speaker on Podcast. My contact information is listed on my website, and the best way to reach me is by email at [email protected]. I’m looking forward to divine connections in 2025.
