We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tanu Ojha Singh. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tanu below.
Hi Tanu , so excited to have you with us today, particularly to get your insight on a topic that comes up constantly in the community – overcoming creativity blocks. Any thoughts you can share with us?
In 2016, I sat down with a dream: to write a novel that would carry my voice into the world. I poured myself into the work, but soon I found myself staring at blank pages, circling unfinished chapters, and wrestling with self-doubt. What began as passion turned into two years of struggle. I didn’t finish that book—I couldn’t. It felt like failure, but really, it was the beginning of my lesson in persistence.
I picked myself up and tried again. I wrote, completed entire manuscripts, and then—deleted them. Three books, gone. Each time, I felt something was missing, as if the heart of the story wasn’t fully there. That cycle of creation and destruction was painful, but it taught me to listen more deeply, not just to my words, but to myself.
And then, in 2025, something shifted. I stopped chasing perfection and started writing with honesty, with rawness, with soul. In just three months, the book that had been waiting inside me for years finally came to life: *Affirmations for Sensitive Souls*.
What looked like wasted years was really a path of growth. Each unfinished draft, each deleted book, was a stepping stone to finding my authentic voice. My dream of becoming a writer did come true—not because I avoided struggle, but because I kept writing through it.
This journey was about transforming it into a teacher. And in the end, the block didn’t break me—it shaped me into the writer I was always meant to be.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I help people reconnect with their authentic selves through inner child healing, awareness, visual guided meditation, life coaching practices. My work blends deep work on subconscious with spiritual insight, creating a space where clients can break free from old cycles, release emotional wounds, and reclaim joy. What excites me most is witnessing transformation—seeing someone move from carrying years of heaviness to embracing lightness and possibility.
My journey as a writer has also become a vital part of my brand. I recently published Affirmations for Sensitive Souls this can be found on Amazon.com. This book is close to my heart because it was born from my own struggles with sensitivity, creativity blocks, and healing. It’s designed as a companion for anyone who feels deeply and needs daily reminders of strength, hope, and self-love. This is not only a book it is a work book that helps you to understand your mind, how to heal through affirmations.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, three qualities were most impactful in my journey:
1. Awareness – Everything began with awareness. Becoming conscious of my patterns, emotions, and inner child wounds was the first step toward change. For those starting out, I encourage you to slow down, notice your triggers, and practice honest self-reflection. Awareness opens the door to transformation.
2. Willingness to Heal – Healing doesn’t happen by accident—it takes willingness. I had to choose, over and over again, to face what hurt and commit to the process, even when it was uncomfortable. My advice: approach healing with curiosity, not perfection. A willingness to take small steps each day will create big shifts over time.
3. Acceptance of Change – One of the hardest lessons was realizing I could not heal or change others—I could only change myself. Accepting that truth gave me freedom. If you’re early in your journey, embrace the fact that growth comes from within. By taking responsibility for your own healing, you empower yourself to live differently and inspire others through your example.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
Two books that have profoundly shaped my development are *You Can Heal Your Life* by Louise Hay and *Many Lives, Many Masters* by Dr. Brian Weiss.
Louise Hay’s work taught me the power of self-love and affirmations. The idea that our thoughts and beliefs can either keep us stuck or set us free was life-changing. One of the most impactful lessons I carry with me is that healing begins with kindness toward yourself—replacing self-criticism with compassion can shift everything.
Dr. Brian Weiss’s *Many Lives, Many Masters* opened my eyes to the depth of the soul’s journey and the reality that healing can transcend lifetimes. It gave me a deeper understanding of karmic lessons, soul contracts, and why we encounter certain challenges. This perspective helped me move from asking “Why me?” to “What is this teaching me?”
Together, these books shaped not only my own growth but also the foundation of the work I do today. They continue to be the first resources I recommend to clients who are ready to begin their healing journey.
