Meet Tanya Fuller

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tanya Fuller a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Tanya , so good to have you with us today. We’ve got so much planned, so let’s jump right into it. We live in such a diverse world, and in many ways the world is getting better and more understanding but it’s far from perfect. There are so many times where folks find themselves in rooms or situations where they are the only ones that look like them – that might mean being the only woman of color in the room or the only person who grew up in a certain environment etc. Can you talk to us about how you’ve managed to thrive even in situations where you were the only one in the room?
I have a deep reverence for humanity and the many ways we traverse the human experience. I believe each of us are doing our best with the awareness we have in the moments of internal choice and decision. So I do my best to live from my heart in authenticity, humility, and vulnerability. When we speak from the heart and listen from the heart, we are most effective because this is where our truest essence is illuminated. And we must celebrate and share what we are here to share!

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a Shaman, Hypnotherapist, Reiki Master Teacher, Heliotropic Breathwork Facilitator, Barre/Yoga/Fitness Instructor and owner of Three Feathers Holistic in Truckee. I guide people traveling on the path of self-mastery with managing their personal energy so they can clear limiting belief patterns, cultivate their intuitive gifts, and expand their awareness. My style focuses on inner harmony through breath, balance, flow, and sacred pause. I truly believe in the power of humor, reverence, and mind/body/spirit awareness.

My approach when working with people and their soul growth is to weave a blend of spiritual modalities with my extensive knowledge of energy medicine. They are participants in their own healing and learn to access their inner harmony, purpose, and peace.
I work with people near and far, in groups and one on one. The transformation of my clients is inspiring!

I live in the Sierra Nevada Mountains (Truckee/Tahoe) and am deeply involved in the mountain town community. One of my joys is working with it he children at the Wild River Waldorf Enrichment Center (preschool-8th grade). The Waldorf curriculum and vision is beautiful and focused on the soul of the child as they learn to become caretakers of the earth and humanity.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Self love, self trust, and self acceptance have been most impactful on my journey in understanding my Self.. In choosing (on a subconscious level) to experience the opposite of these in childhood through complicated family dynamics, I have come to understand what I care about and how important it is to live from the heart.

My advice is to remember that the challenges in life are points of tension necessary for soul growth. Where we experience fear, we are learning what
keeps us from living with an open heart. Where we use control as a coping mechanism we can see where we lack trust. And where we experience rejection or resistance within ourself we cultivate a space where self acceptance will eventually take bloom.

How would you describe your ideal client?
My ideal client is someone who wants to grow on a soul level, is willing to do the work, and is devoted to themselves even when the going gets uncomfortable. We are all on the path of discovery and we must remember that life is about the journey.
