Hi Tanya the Empress, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

My childlike nature that effortlessly finds creative solutions for expansion, I always add – curiosity never killed this cat. My ability to alchemize/transmute perceived contradictions to work in tandem to one’s benefit creating a win-win situation. Ultimately it boils down to perception – some people flip houses, I flip perspectives. I find myself existing in a constant state of self-reflection, which keeps me attuned to the compass of my feelings, navigating life with discernment, clarity, assertion, grace and responding from a space of objectivity and being able to see the whole picture so as not to react out of defensiveness, and integrating retrospective wisdom for pattern recognition. My attitude of acceptance allows me to flow finding adjacent possibilities, knowing that which is in resonance and in alignment with my truth will feel right, communicating freely to express myself and stay in my integrity, and most importantly trusting myself. All these traits that continue to strengthen is a result of mastering my emotions by first understanding the roots cause and healing the past in order to know my authentic self so I can make conscious choices from the present. The greatest gift I have realized about myself is no matter what I’ve been through in life, I’ve never hardened to bitterness or let my heart be tainted.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

why EMPRESS?

Not the kind referring to a title of royalty, but the chiseling of oneself that reflects the nature of personal sovereignty embodied within the Empress archetype. It is reflective of the culmination of the Hero’s journey, an achieved state of aligned wholeness and continuing to harmonize the masculine and feminine principles within myself. For those interested in Tarot and/or astrology, my main astrological signs are Taurus and Libra, which also happen to be the signs associated with the Empress archetype. This was such a synchronistic confirmation for me other than my deep resonance with the archetypal values, when I came to know this long after reluctantly allowing some friends to convince me into adopting this moniker!

I was born and raised in India, after completing high school I was initially looking to attend college in Australia to do it all – equine studies and keep training as a competing equestrian, to major in holistic sciences + psychology +theatre + music. My journey however flowed me to focus in Music, leading me to attending Berklee College of Music, (Bos) in 2013 at the age of 19. Since then I have remained in the East Coast of USA and as recent as 2022 I drove cross country to Los Angeles (CA) where I am currently based. I’m a multifaceted creative professional & entrepreneur – a seasoned performing musician & Holistic voice coach.
The harmonious fusion of my passions and skills is reflected in my music and the coaching modality I developed over the years called ‘T60 awareness’. T60 is a play on 360° – T being my initial is also representative of the point of choice, awareness being key in conscious choosing, for reference sake my learning-coaching processes has similarity to the field of kinesiology and yogic sciences, experiential in nature with an intuitive and innovative approach. As a performer I consider myself to be a vocal alchemist and spontaneous creator staying true to my authenticity in expression. Lyrics and what I’m conveying through through musical mood and vibe is undeniably important to me. The Story and vision is never pre determined as I channel as I feel. It would be difficult to assign me to a genre, and so I propose a new category and coin it “Genre-Blend” for my personality is most definitely that of a genre blender.

Currently I am continuing to create and express creativity in all areas of life, personally and professionally.
I released my debut album A N C I E N T|F U T U R E in Nov, 2023 and have since released a single in 2024 with 2 more in line for release this year. I’ve been selected for and have received multiple invitations to perform in various music festivals in the East (Lady Bug music festival – Wilmington, DE) and West (SOS Fest.; Hippie Fest; e1011 Blaze & Browse fest, to name a few in Los Angeles, CA) through the summer, and have been invited to perform at a concert in Trivandrum, South India scheduled for Oct. 5th. Headlining this exciting breakout year is my Debut Concert set for Fri. Sept. 13, a week prior to hosting my yearly student concert. I plan on consistent music creation, collaboration, releases and performances having waited patiently for over a decade to finally feel ready to officially and professionally be an artist in the public arena, while expanding my entrepreneurial coaching modality ‘T60 awareness’ working and learning with a growing loyal student base, locally and internationally.
