Tapaul, thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?

To be truly be successful, one must know what success means to them. For me, success is life. I am successful each day I live to make a difference. This mindset, and attitude has been effective toward obtaining success.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Hello world! I am Tapaul or “Mr.TP” of Bonified Productions, a music workshop located in South Phoenix. I specialize in composing production tracks and recording, mixing vocals for streaming platforms or live performances.

Music is a passion and I enjoy the art of sound and the process of creation. Making music came early, as my mother was a singer when I was about 4-5. I would listen to her studio tapes and learn to play chords to her songs on her casio. Pops, had tons of albums, so music was always playing.

I rapped in high school, and eventually started producing for other local artists, and in 2000 Bonified Productions was born. Since then, I’ve produced and engineered projects for various indie artist nationwide.

Currently we are focused on providing top notch audio production services to artists ready to express their talents through music. I provide a comfortable home based set up, with 2 separate recording rooms, production tracks, software plug-ins, 3 mic options, to bring your sound to life.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, If I had to break down life lessons into 3 areas, I would say, building Patience, Persistence, and Purpose was impactful.

As a child you want things that appeal to you, and if you are not taught patience, you grow up to have issues as an adult. As I evolved in musical talents, and connections, there were things I wanted to happen before their time. I had to learn to slow down, relax, breathe, and trust the process.

Speaking of trusting the process, one must have a strong will to press forward in the eyes of adversity. This is where Persistence kicks in. In life there are obstacles, that can’t be avoided. If obstacles are approached as opportunities, then you reap the benefit of the occurrence.

In order for your to press forward, you have to know what you are pressing to and why to some extent. Each person has inner voice speaking, pushing, suggesting, nudging. It’s up to each individual to find their true purpose. Once this is found, then you will find it easy to be patient and remain persistent.

So in for those early on their journey they should find their passion, which should align with their purpose. Then be patient at making progress, and persistent when things look dim.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I am an artist, and looking to connect with other artists. There is a large population or people that would love to have their song recorded, mixed and mastered professionally, without paying hundreds of dollars in an expensive studio for the same or similar quality.
I would also like to connect with older rappers and singers that have a voice and need beats to write and record to.
It would also be nice to connect with Sync licensing agents, as I have tons of tv/radio ready music libraries waiting to be discovered.
