Meet Tara Gooch

We were lucky to catch up with Tara Gooch recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Tara, you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?

True generosity isn’t just about what we give, it’s about why we give and who we reflect when we do.

For me, generosity begins with God. He was the first to give. Before we ever existed, He created. He breathed life into dust. He spoke galaxies into being. He gave form to formlessness and brought beauty from nothingness. Every star in the sky, every heartbeat, every miracle we call “ordinary” is a reflection of His original generosity.

And He didn’t stop giving after creation. The universe is still expanding, just like His grace. He gives often. Every sunrise, every second chance, every open door is evidence of a God who is endlessly generous.

When we mirror these divine principles—in life and in business—something shifts. We stop striving and start flowing. We stop hoarding and start trusting. Because generosity aligned with God’s heart doesn’t create lack, it creates abundance.

This is why I live and lead by three simple, powerful steps:

Give First – God initiated, and so should we. Generosity is a posture, not a payoff.

Give Often – The more we give, the more we align with Heaven’s rhythm of abundance.

Do It With Love – Love is the multiplier. It transforms giving from transaction to transformation.

When generosity becomes a spiritual practice, connection deepens, impact grows, and abundance flows—not just financially, but in purpose, peace, and legacy.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m Tara LaFon Gooch, CEO of Best Branding Solutions, a 2x bestselling author, international TEDx speaker, and host of the GRASP Confidence podcast. My work is rooted in helping high-performing thought leaders, speakers, and authors step into their full calling with clarity, confidence, and conviction.

What excites me most is seeing someone go from hidden potential to fully expressed purpose—whether that’s landing their first TEDx talk, launching a personal brand that finally feels authentic, or watching their message create real impact on global stages. It’s not just about visibility, it’s about legacy.

Through my signature GRASP Method (Gratitude, Responsibility, Action, Sight, and Purpose), I help high-performers lead with integrity, communicate with impact, and grow with intention. I believe confidence is not about being the loudest in the room, it’s about being rooted in who God created you to be.

Right now, I’m especially excited about two things:

My upcoming Christian women’s retreat, From Calling to Confidence, taking place in Cabo San Lucas in January 2026. It’s designed to be a transformational space where women can reconnect with their purpose, deepen their faith, and gain the tools to walk boldly in leadership and life.

My upcoming Christian leadership book, which is grounded in 5 simple steps designed to cultivate authentic leadership rooted in emotional intelligence and spiritual wisdom. This project integrates Scripture, neuroscience, and real-world leadership strategies to equip faith-driven leaders to lead from the inside out.

Whether it’s through coaching, speaking, or media visibility my mission is to help people become who they were always meant to be and to do it with unstoppable confidence and purpose.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been: spiritual discernment, resilient confidence, and communication with purpose.

Spiritual Discernment – Learning to hear God’s voice above the noise has shaped every decision in my life and business. It’s not just about being strategic, it’s about being spirit-led. My advice to anyone early in their journey is this: build your relationship with God before you build your platform. Seek wisdom in prayer, Scripture, and quiet moments. Everything else flows from that alignment.

Resilient Confidence – I wasn’t always confident. I had to GRASP it through gratitude, responsibility, taking bold, consistent action, and aligning with my purpose. Confidence isn’t about never feeling fear; it’s about trusting your calling more than your insecurities. If you’re just starting out, stop waiting to feel ready. Take imperfect action, and your confidence will grow through movement, not waiting.

Communication with Purpose – Whether you’re leading a team, pitching an idea, or stepping on a stage, your voice is your most powerful tool. But it has to come from a place of purpose and service. Don’t speak to impress, speak to impact. Practice sharing your story, refine your message, and always speak from a place of truth.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

For secular books, one that has profoundly shaped my mindset is The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles, published in 1910. Despite its age, the principles are timeless, especially the idea that thinking in a “certain way,” with purpose, faith, and gratitude, creates a magnetic force for success. It challenged me to shift from a scarcity mindset to one of expansion and service.

At the same time, I turn to the Bible for ancient wisdom. Its teachings anchor me in truth, humility, and purpose. Where The Science of Getting Rich taught me to think expansively, Scripture reminds me why—to serve others, steward my gifts, and reflect God’s abundance in everything I do.
