We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tara Lindsay-Ferguson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tara below.
Tara, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I knew I had purpose but because I was strong but yet strong under others controls and others vision. Then I just begin to realize that my stagnation was not my doing, God gave me the ministry called Live Again which allows people to learn to live for real. Learning to find the correct connections to meet your personal desires and needs. Learning to PUSH for real
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am a mother of three that lives in South Carolina, I love traveling. I am a co-author of ” The Blueprint of a ThriveHER:” from surviving to thriving”. I own my own business “Hope Services Notary” and we help others build their business. I am a board member for Fullife Restoration Outreach Ministry where we assist those that are less fortunate or homeless. We also have a transitional home for elderly women Fullife Beauty for Ashes which is in Rock Hill S.C.( Fullifer@gmail,com). I am an International Missionary with Jesus is King ministry. I serve under the ministry of Elder Betty Robinson in Laurens S.C.
I am always getting involved in new adventures. My moto is to give God thanks in every area of my life. I can be one day away from being homeless, one minute from being on a sick bed so therefore I must learn to enjoy what I have and who I have in my life at that moment.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1. I learned how to pray and put my trust in the creator of all things ” God Almighy.
2. I learned to not allow someone one to tell me what I can not do but to push to prove them I can .
3. I learned to be an effective listener and watch.
I learned to connect myself with others that had more then me and knew more than me and learned how to apply my skills with those that was taught to me to help build a positive path for my life.
My advice is to study and stay the course of your passion. We all will fall but when you learn from your mistake you get it and try again. Never allow anyone tell you what you can’t do and keep yourself around someone that is a go getter. Trust the process and be true to yourself.
Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
I have an amazing team. I can’t limit my support to just one person. My team have been my prayer partners, my pushers, my counselors, my friends, my encouragement, my teachers, and inspite of my craziness they have be loyal and love me. So I saulte My mom( Pastor Betty Robinson, Ayana Hart, Romana Smith, Sharon Brown, Pastor Lakeshia Johnson, Gerkaylia Brewster, grandmother Shyne Joe , my amazing anuti and uncles and cousins. I have some amazing cousins (to many to name)
the late Pastor Wilhemenia Daniels and McKiver Joe.
