Meet Tasha Scott

We recently connected with Tasha Scott and have shared our conversation below.

Tasha, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
One source is definitely my mom. As a single mother, she did an amazing job raising me while working full time, and pursuing her masters degree. Shes also a breast cancer survivor. She’s such a queen.

Another source of resilience for me is knowing God always has my back. I’ve experienced horrible medical issues, but I learned to keep fighting. I’m too much of a dreamer to give up. No matter what the adversaries are, you have to keep fighting.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I started as a blogger (Shebloggin.com), and then eventually started doing public relations. While blogging, I gained popularity amongst the independent music industry, and started working artists, helping them elevate their visibility. After working with several music artists and small businesses, I started my business, Lotti Creatives. We initially focused on public relations, but now we’ve blossomed into a full creative agency. While still offering public relations services, we also offer various design, writing, and marketing services. We’ve worked with chefs, rappers, actors, Olympic medalists, and restaurants to name a few.

We’ve also just recently launched our official merchandise shop, Lotti Shop. Currently we offer tees and sweaters, but will offer more soon.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Definitely being a good writer, and being blessed with a creative mind. Another quality is I thrive on learning new things. Always being open to either educating yourself, or learning from someone else is absolutely a must. Growth doesn’t come without that. Also, never let yourself be boxed in. Your specialty may be one thing, but expanding your knowledge to another thing is always productive. It definitely stimulates your creativity.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
My biggest area of growth in the last year is hands down gaining experience related to what I do. I’ve had so many different experiences with various industries, as well as professional development and education. Like I’ve already said, you should always seek more knowledge, or education in whatever your specialty is.
