Hi TAYLOR, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I discovered my purpose by recognizing my self-worth and understanding what I deserve as an individual. I’ve always followed my own path, and after my most recent job, I realized that my value goes far beyond what I had previously believed. This realization, that no one can undermine or diminish me, has provided me with incredible motivation and confidence. However, reaching this mindset didn’t happen overnight. In addition to pursuing my passion for photography, I am also a certified yoga instructor and devoted meditator. Through these practices, I have learned to set the standard for my own goals and dreams, and I aspire to share the mindfulness techniques I incorporate into my daily life with my future clients.

As a lifestyle documentary photographer, my mission is to immerse you in the present moment. Photography has always been a passion of mine, but it wasn’t until two years ago when I experienced a significant career setback that I fully embraced it. Through this journey, I discovered my love for capturing the essence of human connection and joy in everyday moments.
My approach to photography is unconventional. As a beginner-level yoga instructor and dedicated meditator, I infuse crystal healing into my photo sessions. By bringing specific crystals tailored to each individual, I create a space filled with positive energy and vibes.
I understand that being in front of the camera can be daunting for some, which is why I prioritize creating a comfortable and inviting environment. Alongside breath work and mindfulness techniques, I curate personalized playlists for each client. Music has a unique ability to evoke self-expression and confidence, making the experience truly transformative.
Ultimately, my goal is to not only capture stunning images but also to empower you to embrace the present moment and express yourself authentically. Through mindfulness and creative expression, we embark on a journey of self-discovery, culminating in unforgettable photographs that reflect your true essence.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
My journey in crafting the extraordinary life I lead has been shaped by three core qualities: determination, confidence, and mindfulness. These pillars have been instrumental in navigating challenges, seizing opportunities, and fostering a deep appreciation for the present moment.
Certainly, finding harmony in the flow of life. Determination acts as a serene force guiding us along the path of purpose. The mantra “fortune favors the brave” becomes a gentle breeze, echoing the essence of a mindset rooted in courage and destiny. This serene mindset harmonizes with mindfulness and confidence, creating a beautiful symphony. I dance to the rhythm of my own soul, forging a path guided by my unique beat. Acknowledging that you are the architect of your intentions brings a sense of self-awareness and an unwavering belief in your capabilities. In this tranquil dance between determination, mindfulness, and confidence, you gracefully carve your path, setting the tone for the incredible life unfolding before you.
What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
When overwhelmed, my go-to is a physical shift—stepping outside for deep breaths or enveloping myself in the cocoon of noise-canceling headphones and music. My connection with my body is profound; it’s a vessel of sensations and emotions that I keenly tune into. Yoga is my sanctuary; the synergy of movement and breath, the power it exudes, is nothing short of transformative. Ask my friends; in our casual hangouts, I’m often found stretching or indulging in some impromptu yoga. The grounding energy it brings is an obsession of mine.
The key guidance I offer to those grappling with overwhelm is to tune in closely to their body’s whispers. Delve into the intricate tapestry of physical, mental, and emotional sensations. By embracing awareness, you unravel the complexity of these sensations. For instance, as I navigate my own moments of overwhelm, I notice the accelerated rhythm of my heart and the warmth engulfing my neck. Identifying these as physical signals prompts me to dissect the deeper layers—what triggers these reactions, and how have I traditionally coped with the racing heart and heated neck? This introspection unveils the mental and emotional facets, transforming the vague sensation of overwhelm into a tangible understanding.
