Meet Teinamarrie Scuderi

We were lucky to catch up with Teinamarrie Scuderi recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Teinamarrie, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

I’ve always known deep down that I was born to make a difference in the world—and I have my mom to thank for planting those seeds early. When my brother and I were little, she would have us choose five gently used toys each year to donate to Toys for Tots. That act of giving taught me that helping others wasn’t just something you do—it’s who you are.

In high school, I volunteered reading books to “at-risk” kids, and later, after learning about Ryan White, I got involved in HIV/AIDS education. As a freshman at the University of Utah, I joined the Campus AIDS Project through the Lowell Bennion Community Center, believing I could change the world by educating others about HIV prevention. But I soon realized that knowledge alone wasn’t enough. Even so, I spent the next 30+ years as a dedicated activist and ally within the LGBTQ+ community.

Still, I knew that was only part of my path.

Throughout my life, people—especially women—would ask me, “How are you so positive, so confident, so bold?” Those traits weren’t something I put on; they were who I was. So I became a life coach, hoping to empower others to find their voice and live fully. But even that didn’t feel like my ultimate purpose.

Everything changed in 2011. A series of events collided and my life imploded—it was the perfect storm. I lost my sparkle. I was living in numbness, anger, and pain. One day, a friend told me, “You ooze anger. I can’t be around you anymore.” That hit me hard. I knew something had to change.

I didn’t know where to begin—until I found Gratitude.

Gratitude became my lifeline. The more I leaned into it, the more I healed. And slowly but surely, I reclaimed my SPARKLE.

That healing birthed what would become my signature Gratitude product called Grati-Tools ™. I began using them in my coaching and trainings—and they worked. They resonated. They grew.

But the true clarity came in Canada. I was chatting with a shop employee when she said, “Your country is imploding.” And in that moment, everything clicked. My purpose was clear:

✨ I am here to ignite joy, presence, and purpose in others by transforming stress and burnout though gratitude, play, and authentic connection.
✨ My mission is to help individuals and organizations create thriving, resilient cultures grounded in heart, playfulness, and soul-aligned success.
✨ By teaching people how to use Gratitude as a daily practice, I help them shift their mindset, reclaim their joy, and ultimately change the world—one grateful heart at a time.

This is more than a mission. This is my calling.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

At Teinamarrie’s Treasures, I help transform stress-filled workplaces into thriving, grateful, and playful cultures where people feel seen, valued, and energized. My coaching style is heart-centered, intuitive, and results-driven. I use powerful NLP-based processes to help clients rewire limiting beliefs, release emotional blocks, and align with their purpose. It’s not just mindset work—it’s deep inner transformation that leads to lasting external change.

To help people build consistent gratitude habits, I also created a deck of Grati-Tools ™ Cards—a tangible, inspiring tool designed to spark daily reflection, appreciation, and connection. Whether used individually or in teams, these cards help turn gratitude into a meaningful and energizing practice.

One of my newest offerings is Gratitude Glows, a monthly subscription service that delivers daily emails filled with uplifting prompts and playful nudges to keep gratitude top of mind and nurture a positive mindset.

Ultimately, my mission is to ignite workplaces—and hearts—with joy, resilience, and soul-aligned success. Whether I’m leading a corporate training, coaching a client, or speaking on stage, I’m here to help people remember their magic, reclaim their spark, and turn everyday moments into treasures.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Three Most Important Qualities, Skills, and/or Areas of Knowledge
Looking back, the three most impactful elements in my journey have been:
1. Learning and Applying NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming):
Becoming a certified Quantum NLP Practitioner changed the trajectory of both my personal and professional life. NLP gave me powerful tools to rewire limiting beliefs, access inner resources, and help others shift from stress to empowerment. I have always used NLP in my life without realizing that’s what I was doing. NLP has helped my develop the skills and tools to clear inner clutter while shifting and releasing limiting beliefs that have held me back. It’s a core part of my coaching style and the foundation for the transformational results I see in clients and workplaces. For those starting their journey, I recommend diving into NLP or other mindset-based tools—it’s one of the fastest ways to create deep, lasting change. And find a certified NLP coach to work with.
2. Practicing Daily Gratitude:
Gratitude isn’t just a feel-good concept—it’s a practice that has completely transformed how I show up in the world. Personally, it helped me heal, reframe challenges, and deepen my joy. Professionally, it became the cornerstone of my business, where I teach organizations how to use gratitude to reduce burnout, increase engagement, and boost morale. If you’re early on your path, start by building a daily gratitude habit—it’s simple, but it can change everything.
3. Integrating Play and Presence:
Play isn’t a luxury—it’s a lifeline. For me, play is essential to life. It’s how we reconnect with our essence, spark our creativity, and deepen our relationships. I’ve learned that playfulness and presence are powerful medicine for burnout, stress, and disconnection. In the workplace, they aren’t just nice to have—they’re necessary for building engaged, innovative, and connected teams.
That’s why I’m on a mission to create more opportunities for adults to remember how to play. Not just with games, but through freedom, joy, movement, and authentic expression. Play is about coming home to yourself and showing up in the world with aliveness.
My advice? Don’t wait until you’re exhausted or overwhelmed to prioritize play. Invite it in now. Infuse your days with laughter, curiosity, and connection—because play heals, play inspires, and play transforms.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

YES I love collaborating with people. I am always open to partnering with other business owners that focus on creating better workplace environments. By combing my Gratitude and Play tools with someone who offers mindset, yoga, physical fitness or similar I feel we can create a comprehensive training or retreat for employers. And I am looking to expand into doing retreats. I am wanting to share more of my Gratitude and Play activities and tools with others doing retreats that include mindfulness, yoga, spiritual, and such to create a whole body mind soul experience.
