Meet Temi Hason

We were lucky to catch up with Temi Hason recently and have shared our conversation below.

Temi, so glad you were able to set aside some time for us today. We’ve always admired not just your journey and success, but also the seemingly high levels of self-discipline that you seem to have mastered and so maybe we can start by chatting about how you developed it or where it comes from?

I grew up going to two schools at the same time. In the morning I’d start at my regular school and once that one was over would my Conservatory would start until evening. It was an absolute insane schedule but I loved what I did so much and still do that it never actually feels like extra work.
Being this busy also required me to be very disciplined. I have studied Cello and Musical Theatre. Having discipline in your studies, work, daily life is number one thing! Once you are a part of this world from the way you talked to the way you walk, the way you dress up, the way you eat (some foods might effect your vocal chords pre-show, the amount of liquid that you need to drink…) is all a part of this wonderful world.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Let me start by saying how much I love what I do! And yes that’s the first thing I said because it really changes everything!
Coming from 3 special backgrounds of Early Childhood Education, Cello and Musical Theatre it has been a joy creating ‘Let’s Meet The Orchestra’
This is a very special program as it’s not only for kids for us adults as well who joins the class. We get to meet a different instrument of the orchestra each week! Everyone gets to touch and feel it! Play it! I do own more than 20 instruments, including some special ethnic ones too!
Besides the magical discovery of the instruments we also sing and dance and learn basic music theory while just having fun! This helps create the base before starting to play any specific instrument for example piano, guitar etc.
And one other very important component of this program/experience is we build a wonderful community together! There is something very special about seeing the same people every week and sharing one of the highlighted happiest moments of the week together!
Let’s Meet The Orchestra experiences works two ways
1- You can gather your own group of friends/family and request a day&time
2- You join one of the classes from the schedule,
Either way it’s great joy and you will meet wonderful people and have a blast!
New session of classes will be starting the September 15th! You can reserve your spot through the link below. And always pls feel free to reach out with any questions. I’d be more than happy to help!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Work, work , work! Be positive! Keep creating! Share your passion and people will follow! Whatever you are doing give your fullest! Don’t just do it be the best! Thrive always!

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

I feel so lucky to have very supportive parents! Without their support I wouldn’t be able to get to where I am today.
The road is definately not straight so many ups and downs so many omg I almost got it’s on the way!
I remember my parents trying to help me prepare for my music theory exams at the conservatory altough they have zero knowledge about music just to be able to support me, my mom wrote down the notes on the piano and learned some basic info from my teacher so she can ask me and help me practise and get ready for my exam, She was learning to press 5 different notes at the same time so I can hear it without looking and tell her back the right notes so she’d check on her post it notes on the piano to tell me if I was correct or not
Having their support all through out the journey has been one of the most special and key thing!
