We recently connected with Terese Flores and have shared our conversation below.
Terese, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?
My optimism stems from the unwavering support and guidance of my father. He instilled in me the belief that no matter the circumstances, there’s always an opportunity for growth and success. Even during challenging transitions, like our family’s move to a new town, his encouragement and belief in a fresh start fueled my optimism.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Randy Pausch’s quote from “The Last Lecture” has always resonated deeply with me. He famously said, “The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people.” This quote encapsulates my approach to challenges. When faced with a seemingly insurmountable obstacle, I remind myself that it’s not there to hinder me but to test my resolve and determination. One particular instance stands out in my career journey. I was at the beginning stage s of launching my new parent online education series, at the height of the business I had an unexpected miscarriage. In the midst of unexpected sadness, I leaned into my grief and worked to host support groups for parent’s who haev experienced pregnancy loss.
