Meet Terrell Grier

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Terrell Grier . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Terrell , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I guess you can say I have been that way my whole life. I always had that go-getter mentality. During my childhood I was taught if you don’t have something go out there and get it. So it didn’t matter if I had to help an Old Lady at the grocery store with her bags. If I had to shovel snow, cut grass, even sell candy and chips in school. See I was born a hustler and a hustler is not just someone who sells drugs and grown up in Detroit Michigan that’s what most people did I was always a loaner no matter how many people was around. See having nothing and seeing death around you all the time will change you. Sometimes for the worse, sometimes for the better and it was up to me to decide on what type of change I wanted in my life, one of the main key components to my resilience is knowing that no matter what I’ve been through God has always helped me make it through. I can take a little credit for the work I put in, but it was mainly all God, who gave me the strength to keep going, and I just wanted to do better and be better. Also grown up me and my whole family will meet at my big mama and big daddy house and have Sunday dinner after church and talk about ways to improve the family and how to grow all together as one. So I guess you can say as long as you have faith in yourself, and faith in God And take your time with every situation knowing that it will work out that’s what keeps you going. With this comes acceptance and I learned how to accept the things that I cannot control and focus on my reactions to every situation. See, I’m at a point in my life to where when you know you are distant for something great the small things that occur in life rolls right off of you. When you start having visions of your future, and you see how great life is going to be. You focus more on what it looks like, not what it takes to get there. Resilience is following the path of the unknown, knowing that you will be OK. The path that I am on, is meant to break all generational curses and create generational wealth for my entire family. So, with holding that type of weight gives me the motivation that’s needed to wanna make it through anything, and it gives me the insight on different levels of myself. My resilience is based off of me, knowing what I deserve in life because of all the seeds of goodness I have planted, and all the sacrifices that I had to endure along the way.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Hello out there in the world today. I’m glad you’re taking the time out of your day to get better acquainted with me. I go by the name of Casino Cuzo. I’m an entrepreneur and the business owner of Casino Cuzo LLC. I am a music artist, a clothing line designer, a motivational speaker, and a jack of all trades I have graduated with honors at Lake Superoir College for Automotive Technician so if your vehicle needs some TLC I’m the guy to call and with my many skills I am here to service my community and the world around me. I also have a shoe restoration company by the name of Mind Body Sole and with that I just wanted to bring the cobbler industry back to life. I also have a mobile detailing company by the name of Rell mobile Detail. That is located in Duluth Minnesota. I specialize in the Detailing of vehicles, motorcycles, mobile homes, boats, and any and all commercial vehicles. I will either go to the location that needs the service done or people can come to my brick and mortar location. As far as the music goes, I have just released my new album two weeks ago called Relentless, Volume 2 that is now streaming on all platforms. Along with that I have dropped 2 new music videos Deep Waters and 4th & Inch’s that was filmed in Detroit Michigan. At this moment I am in the process of starting a podcast so people can call in, and I can share my experiences of my life with them and have a safe place for people to be themselves. I just want to take all of my experiences that I learned in life and all the things I had to overcome and use that to guide people that are in dark places in their lives. I am just a simple man doing what I can to spread love, peace and hope to the world around me and I stand on it. I am looking to grow with different prospects to create a foundation of substance. I would like to hire on people to help expand the brand, the franchise and the movement. See the things that I have done is not just for me. It’s for my family, my friends and the people around me. See, it’s enough to go around and I want everyone to win and eat.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I guess I can say one of my best qualities that I have obtained along the way is the release of control and expectations of any and all thing’s. I found myself for a long time, creating my own anxiety, depression and overwhelming myself because of something I believe I want it or need it at that moment in my life. I had to learn how to take a step back and just breathe. I had to realize that the things that are occurring around me is for my benefit it was not set up to hurt me or hinder me. I had to learn that life is what you make it meaning, no matter what happens make the best of it. I had to stop letting the world tell me who I should be or what I should do.

Another good quality I can say that I have is common sense. Believe it or not, it’s not as common as you think. You have to be able to analyze every situation that comes up without being prejudice. You have to know that self-care and self-love is above it all. So by doing right by yourself you can then begin to do right by others. You have to look at life from a birds eye view to see the whole picture. You have to know that what you put out there in the world you will get back, no matter good or bad. You have to be able to see past the illusions of this world. You have to take things and people that are shown to you for who they are with acceptance in your heart.

I guess the last quantity that I have gained over the years is having the best parts of both worlds. Meaning, for a large portion of my life I lived in the streets, not on the streets, but in the streets. In many different situation some of which I don’t know how I’m alive today. So I have gained a lot of knowledge and a lot of different areas of expertise when it comes to the street life. does half was making sure while all of this was going on I still was excelling with my education, and at the end I have became a two-time college graduate for automotive, technology and another degree in building airplanes. So having knowledge and both areas of life has been one of my key points as well, because you have to be able to adapt to everything.

Now for all of my people that are out there on their own individual journey. Take your time with everything. Be kind to yourself along the way. Have patience with what is going on in your life. Make sure every day you do self-care and self-love on yourself. Now when you become off-balance with things that occur, remember why you started and what you are doing it for. Remember what is meant for you will happen for you and will come to you at the right time. Don’t feel like because you don’t have it right now you don’t deserve it sometimes you have to release the people or things in your life to make room for the things that you deserve in life. You are the creator of your own reality so molded and shape it to your will.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
This has been one of my hardest challenges to face on my journey. The feeling of being overwhelmed and when that situation comes up it can be a very unpleasant filling. When these certain feelings arise. I find myself doing a few things. First thing is a stop everything that I am doing and I go to my special place that I have by the water that helps me clear my mind. I feel like having a certain location to go to can help you ground yourself. If I don’t have any water around, I have a few good people that I feel safe with to talk about my issues. I think we should all have someone in our life or people like that in our life. Of those people aren’t around I will find myself in isolation mode. With this I find time to look with them myself, and reflect on what has happened, and why it made me feel that way I am the type of person that enjoys my own company and can work well with the inner me. Peace is a very key component my life, and I do peaceful things to bring that joy to me, even if it’s listening to some old-school music to cleanse my soul. You just have to see what works for you and let it work for you..
