Meet Terrie Beasley

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Terrie Beasley. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Terrie, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

Developing confidence and self-esteem has been a journey shaped by experiences, faith, and a deep commitment to personal growth. Here are some key ways I built my confidence:

1. Faith and Spiritual Foundation
• My faith in God has been my anchor. Knowing that I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) gave me the foundation to see my worth beyond circumstances.
• Prayer and reading the Word strengthened my belief in myself, even in tough times.

2. Overcoming Challenges
• Life threw many obstacles my way, from loss to career shifts, but I learned to turn pain into power.
• Each challenge I conquered reinforced my resilience and ability to navigate life’s difficulties.

3. Helping Others
• Empowering women and serving through my nonprofit Angels of Color LLC has given me purpose.
• When you lift others, you naturally build confidence in your own abilities.

4. Education & Personal Growth
• I pursued multiple careers and certifications, proving to myself that I was capable of learning and excelling in different fields.
• Mastering new skills and knowledge made me more confident in my abilities.

5. Speaking Life Into Myself
• I speak affirmations daily: I am powerful. I am strong. I am worthy.
• I reject negative self-talk and replace it with truth and positivity.

6. Surrounding Myself with the Right People
• I have strong, supportive relationships, including my husband, children, and sisters.
• Having a circle that uplifts you makes a world of difference in self-esteem.

7. Pushing Beyond My Comfort Zone
• Whether it was becoming a speaker, an author, or launching businesses, I forced myself to do things that scared me.
• The more I stepped out in faith, the stronger my confidence became.

8. Self-Love & Care
• Taking care of my health, mental well-being, and overall self-care keeps me in alignment with my best self.

Confidence is built over time, but it starts with believing in yourself and trusting that you are enough. Pressure makes diamonds, and I am proof that applying pressure in life creates greatness!

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I encourage every woman to stand in her power, push past limits, and apply pressure in every aspect of life!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Throughout my journey, three key qualities have had the greatest impact on my success:
1. Resilience & Adaptability – Life has thrown many challenges my way, from personal losses to career shifts, but my ability to persevere and adapt has been the foundation of my success. I learned early on that setbacks are not the end; they are setups for something greater.
2. Leadership & Empowerment – Whether leading my businesses, coaching women, or managing my nonprofit, I’ve learned that true leadership isn’t about power—it’s about inspiring others to step into their greatness.
3. Business Acumen & Versatility – I’ve worn many hats in my career, from private investigator to author to entrepreneur. My ability to learn, pivot, and apply business strategies across different industries has allowed me to create multiple streams of income and make a lasting impact.

2. What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

For those just starting out, here’s my advice:
• Resilience & Adaptability: Life will test you, but don’t let setbacks define you. Build a strong mindset, embrace change, and keep pushing forward, even when the odds are against you.
• Leadership & Empowerment: Start by leading yourself. Stay disciplined, surround yourself with strong mentors, and always look for ways to lift others up. The more you give, the more you grow.
• Business Acumen & Versatility: Never stop learning. Take courses, attend networking events, and don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone. The more skills you develop, the more opportunities you create for yourself.

Remember, pressure makes diamonds—stay committed to your journey, and success will follow.

Final Thought:

Your journey is uniquely yours, but success leaves clues. No matter where you are starting, always remember that resilience will keep you standing, leadership will allow you to serve and impact others, and business acumen will open doors to opportunities you never imagined. Stay committed, stay consistent, and most importantly—never dim your light for anyone.

You are pressure. Keep applying it!

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

God has been the most helpful in overcoming my challenges and developing the skills, qualities, and knowledge I needed to be successful. After losing my family—my mother and two brothers—I felt completely lost. Grief was so powerful that I didn’t know where to find the strength to keep going. But God… He stepped in, healed me, and restored me. He became my source of strength when I had none, my comfort in the midst of pain, and my guide when I couldn’t see a way forward.

Through Him, I found the power to rise, to heal, and to walk in my purpose. Every skill, every opportunity, every success I’ve achieved has been because of His grace and guidance. Now, I use my journey to help others find hope, healing, and restoration, just as He did for me. He turned my grief into a testimony, my loss into a mission, and my tears into a source of strength for others. I stand today, not just as a survivor, but as a vessel of His grace, helping others navigate their own pain and find the light on the other side of darkness.”**
