Meet Tess Traynor

We recently connected with Tess Traynor and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Tess, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
You know the old saying “fake it till you make”? Well, it’s more than just a saying; it’s a powerful truth. Building confidence doesn’t happen overnight— it’s a journey that requires time and effort. One way to accelerate this process is by adopting a confident demeanor and mindset, even before you truly feel it.

For me, a pivotal moment in boosting my self-confidence occurred when I started reading tarot for others. Initially, I felt uncertain and out of place when reading for strangers, but I knew that showing any sign of doubt would only deter others from seeking my guidance. As I continued to practice, I gradually discovered that my skills were solid all along; it was just my own fears and insecurities that clouded my perception. With each reading, I grew more assured and realized that I had the expertise all along—I just needed to overcome my self-doubts.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Hello, I’m Tess, and my journey into the spiritual industry began with Spellbinding. Fascinated by essential oils and their benefits, I turned this passion into creating all-natural intentional products. As I delved deeper into the spiritual community, I found myself drawn to offering tarot readings both online and in person. Connecting with others on a personal level ignited a love for helping them explore tarot and get to know themselves on a deeper level. This led me to launch Everyday Witch The Podcast and host transformative workshops.

Over the years, as my business thrived and gained a strong online following, people naturally turned to me for advice and mentorship. Recognizing the struggles and challenges of entrepreneurship, I felt compelled to offer coaching and social media management services.

Recently, I introduced a retreat, creating a healing space for further connection and transformation. Community is extremely important to me and I look forward to building more nurturing spaces in the future.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, the three qualities and skills that were most impactful were curiosity, empathy, and resilience. Curiosity allowed me to seek out new experiences ideas, and perspectives. Developing a strong sense of resilience empowered me to navigate through setbacks and obstacles. Empathy enabled me to understand and connect with my audience, fostering meaningful relationships. These three qualities not only contributed to my personal growth and development but also played a fundamental role in shaping my journey and business.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
When I experience a sense of overwhelm, I find it helpful to take a moment to step back and take a breath. Additionally, I prefer to deconstruct the problem into smaller, more manageable components, allowing me to approach them one at a time without feeling daunted by the overall size of the challenge. Seeking guidance and discussing the issue with someone else is also a strategy I employ, as it offers me new perspectives and potential solutions.
