Meet The GriCheese

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful The GriCheese. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with The GriCheese below.

Hi The GriCheese, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

We are the Grieci sisters, better known as The GriCheese! Our journey started with a simple yet meaningful goal: to make time for each other. As life pulled us in different directions, we realized that prioritizing family wasn’t just something we valued—it was something we needed to be intentional about.

Gathering around good food has always been at the heart of our family. Some of our favorite memories are filled with laughter, storytelling, and, of course, the perfect bite of cheese. What began as a way to create beautiful spreads for our own gatherings quickly turned into something bigger. Friends and family encouraged us to share our creations, and soon, The GriCheese was born—a passion-driven business that blends creativity, connection, and community.

Finding our purpose came naturally through this journey. It’s not just about the charcuterie boards; it’s about the moments they create. We love being part of people’s celebrations, big and small, knowing that our boards bring people together just like they do for us. The GriCheese isn’t just a business—it’s a reflection of who we are, what we love, and the importance of slowing down to enjoy life’s simple pleasures.

The next part of the interview is where we’d love to learn more about you, your story and what you are focused on professionally – whether it’s a business, nonprofit, artistic career etc. Please tell our readers about what you do, what you feel is most exciting or special about it, as well as anything else you’d like folks to know about your brand/art/etc. If relevant, please also tell our readers about anything new (events, product/service launches, expansion, etc) with your small business.

At The GriCheese, we pour our hearts into crafting charcuterie experiences that bring people together. As sisters, our shared love for cheese, food styling, and quality time inspired us to turn our passion into a business—one that not only fuels our creativity but also reinforces the importance of gathering around great food.

What sets The GriCheese apart is our attention to detail and the way we personalize every board, table, and grazing experience. We believe food should be both delicious and visually stunning, serving as a centerpiece that sparks conversation and connection. Whether it’s an intimate date night, a family gathering, or a large corporate event, we curate spreads that are as beautiful as they are flavorful.

We’re currently focused on expanding our small business and reaching more people throughout New Jersey. From new seasonal offerings and special event collaborations to growing our grazing table services, we’re always looking for ways to elevate our craft. Our latest addition, The GriCheese: On The Go, a mobile charcuterie cart, allows us to bring our signature grazing experience directly to events in a fresh and interactive way.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three key qualities have been essential to our journey with The GriCheese: organization, communication, and creativity.

1. Organization: Running a small business—especially one that involves fresh ingredients, custom orders, and event planning—requires strong organization. From managing inventory to coordinating logistics for large grazing tables, staying organized ensures a smooth operation and happy clients. For those just starting out, we recommend developing a system early on, whether it’s using digital tools, keeping detailed checklists, or setting clear schedules. The more structure you create, the more efficiently your business will run.

2. Personable & Strong Communication: At its core, The GriCheese is about bringing people together, and that starts with building genuine connections. Whether it’s collaborating with clients, working with vendors, or engaging with our community on social media, clear and personable communication is key. Our advice? Prioritize responsiveness, be warm and approachable, and truly listen to what your clients need. The way you interact with people leaves a lasting impression and helps build trust and loyalty.

3. Leadership: As three sisters working together, strong leadership is what keeps The GriCheese moving forward. We each bring our own strengths, but we also know the importance of collaboration, decision-making, and supporting one another. Leadership isn’t just about delegating—it’s about inspiring, problem-solving, and ensuring we’re all working toward the same vision. For those looking to build leadership skills, we suggest focusing on teamwork, trusting your instincts, and leading by example. A strong foundation of leadership helps turn passion into a thriving business.

At the end of the day, balancing structure, communication, and leadership has allowed us to grow The GriCheese into what it is today. Stay organized, connect with people, and embrace leadership in your own way—it makes all the difference!

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

Without a doubt, our parents have been the most influential in helping us overcome challenges and develop the essential skills we needed to build The GriCheese. From a young age, they instilled in us the values of hard work, dedication, and resilience—qualities that have been the foundation of our business.

Our mom and dad always emphasized the importance of being organized and managing our time well, whether it was balancing school, extracurriculars, or family responsibilities. Those lessons stuck with us and have been crucial in running a business where planning, scheduling, and multitasking are key.

They also taught us the power of strong communication and being personable. Watching them build relationships, handle challenges with grace, and prioritize kindness showed us how important it is to connect with people in a meaningful way. That mindset has helped us not only in customer service but also in collaborating as sisters and business partners.

Most importantly, they led by example when it came to leadership. They showed us that being a leader isn’t just about making decisions—it’s about being supportive, adaptable, and always willing to learn. Their unwavering encouragement and belief in us have given us the confidence to take risks, grow, and build The GriCheese into something we’re truly proud of.

We’re beyond grateful for their guidance and support, and we carry their lessons with us in everything we do!
