Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to The Public. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi The, you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?
The generosity we strive to demonstrate is in part because of a hope that we might also benefit from the generosity of people who we meet and work with. It is also thanks to how generous we three and all our close friends are with eachother. We share so many things without hesitation. Both physical things like weed and hugs and metaphysical like love and respect are always shared in our house. You get what you give . Maybe not immediately but in the long run it seems what you put into the world , the world will put back your way some time or another . Best to play it safe and put good stuff out there .
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
We make music (for the public by The Public).
It’s a real freakin good time everytime we play a show . Thankfully we do that most weekends.
It’s also a form of therapy I think . It definitely is for us and hopefully is for the audience too.
Whether it’s in our hometown Saint Louis or Tallahassee, New Orleans, Chicago, Indianapolis, or somewhere we haven’t even Been yet, we hope someone reading this wants to come join the fun!
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Friendship . 10 years of it at this point between us 3. Been very helpful . Mighta been impossible without it for me at least

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
All our parents are so amazing . Harry’s mom is the bomb for letting us use her van for touring! Jack’s dad got us a hotel when our car got broken into when we played Wichita. That was awesome of him. And (me)Dylan’s dad helped him rewire his old amp that was a 5 foot tall with five 8 inch speakers . Dyls dad also gave us the mixer we recorded the first song we ever recorded “Spaceman ” on. You can hear it on our album Friendly Devil Music on any streaming service
