We recently connected with Thomas Elias Lockhart III and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Thomas Elias, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
My self confidence and self esteem came over time. I believe it is definitely from God and being persistent with my craft. It is impossible to build either of these without a firm foundation to begin with.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
My name is Thomas Elias Lockhart III. I am a Self taught mixed media fine artist from Colorado. I feel most excited about my work, because I am able to convey a message through my creativity and touch emotions in an inspiring way. I believe I am a unique artist, being that I don’t stay in one genre with my work. I am a very diverse artist. I have been this way for over 20 years. I believe this sets me a part from other artists. It doesn’t make me anymore special, it makes me uniquely me. This year I will be on the cover of WHO’s Who in America’s Millennial Magazine Cover, honored by Art Tour International Magazine 60 Master artist and also will be in a documentary series on RUKU, Amazon and Apple TV streaming later this year. I also to expand my art merch on my website and other platforms.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I believe it is best to plan and set goals for what you want in life. Your business, brand and its relevancy are dependent on you making an effort to imagine where you want to be in the future. Study your craft, seek a mentor and travel to get inspired by others in your field. All these things can help you grow.
Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
One of the most inspiring books I have added to my life is Napoleon Hill’s outwitting the devil. If you really want to know what makes you tick, this one is an absolute masterpiece.
