Meet Thomas Finn

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Thomas Finn a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Thomas, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

I guess I get it from my dad he’s an animator who has worked on a lot of movies. Growing up I always seen him on his computer working on drawings or storyboards everyday. He told me stories of how he left home to pursue his dream going to school and working at the same time to pay for the classes then moving to la and couch surfing until he got hired at Disney. His stories have always been a big inspiration for me to keep going and work every day until I hopefully make it myself.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

Well I am Thomas aka big boy Tom I am know in Wes Los Angeles for hosting car shows. I have a brand / club know as west side car meets I’ve been hosting weekly events in LA for 3 years now. With the events I’ve created a safe place for car enthusiasts from all over to come to show off their cars and make friends with other enthusiasts. My goal is to one day host huge events at race tracks and other event spaces and have my brand be a know around the USA.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

First is my knowledge of Los Angeles I knew places I could go and have a bunch of cars show up that wouldn’t bother others. Second would be my knowledge of social media and advertising I’ve been an influencer on instagram and various other platforms for a while so I was able to get my brands name out there and quickly build an audience. Last would be my people skills I’m pretty good at being social making sure I talk to everyone that comes out and making them feel included.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I am always looking to collaborate with other influencers in the car community and different brands. Im done collabs with a few people from Hoonigan and I’ve worked with a few products brands and other event hosts. I am always looking for more don’t be afraid to hit me up just because I have a big following.
