We were lucky to catch up with Thomas Schuler recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Thomas, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
My optimism comes from The Law of Attraction. I came from a rough lifestyle due to my own personal choices and after the life I spent 18 years creating came crashing to a very serious and abrupt stop. I was unemployed, struggling with a strong addiction to meth and my wife left and dhs took my kids. All 6 were taken and placed in foster care. I was told I couldn’t get them back being a single father with a criminal background. I started fighting for my kids and in one of my therapist put on The Secret. I had nothing else to lose and was at rock bottom so I started an attitude of gratitude. I then met my now wife, got my kids back, went to school for hvac and started a career that has now transformed me into an HVAC business owner
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I own Cheyenne Mountain HVAC with my business partner and wife. We took over the company in the summer of 2023 and have been doing our best to change the way HVAC is presented to homeowners in the Southern Colorado region. We give the homeowner educated options to allow them the ability to make the decision that works best for them.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Being grateful for what I have versus being upset about what I don’t have. Taking my time because the speed comes only after the lessons have been learned. Family first. Set a goal and put forth positive energy everyday to get to that goal. It’s not going to be easy but I hate easy!!

The Last Law of Attraction book you will ever read. Set intentions for your day, script out what you plans are and manifest them into reality every day.
