Meet Tianna Wilson

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tianna Wilson a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Tianna, great to have you with us today and excited to have you share your wisdom with our readers. Over the years, after speaking with countless do-ers, makers, builders, entrepreneurs, artists and more we’ve noticed that the ability to take risks is central to almost all stories of triumph and so we’re really interested in hearing about your journey with risk and how you developed your risk-taking ability.
Over the course of my journey, I’ve come to understand that the ability to take risks is fundamental in propelling one towards success and innovation. This skill isn’t merely about recklessness; rather, it involves calculated decision-making, analyzing potential outcomes, and stepping out of comfort zones.

I believe that developing this ability requires a blend of courage, perseverance, and a willingness to learn from both successes and failures. Without God nothing is possible.

My favorite scripture (Proverbs 3:5-6)
”Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.“
‭‭
This — is what keeps me going.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
My journey into the world of makeup artistry has been deeply influenced by my lifelong passion for painting and drawing. The brush strokes on a canvas and the intricate lines in a sketch have always held a profound fascination for me. Translating this passion into the realm of makeup has been an exhilarating and natural progression, allowing me to blend artistry with an ever-evolving industry.

Moreover., I’m definitely a great listener which helps me encourage and uplift every clients I have came in contact with; creating a judgement free space has always been apart of me.

Can’t wait to see what God has in store for me in the upcoming year. If it’s in God will let it be down.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Faith that God will make a way has been the cornerstone of my journey, providing me with strength, resilience, and a sense of purpose. It’s not merely about religious conviction but rather a deep-rooted belief in the power of hope, determination, and the ability to overcome challenges. This unwavering faith has guided my decisions and actions, allowing me to navigate complexities with a positive outlook and an enduring resolve.

My commitment to focus stems from a dedicated pursuit of excellence in every endeavor. Concentration, discipline, and the ability to prioritize tasks have been instrumental in achieving goals and surpassing expectations. Whether in personal or professional pursuits, maintaining focus has enabled me to deliver results and excel in diverse environments.

FAITH | FOCUS | FUTURE !

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
My faith . (Hebrew 11)

Within this year, I have lost my home due to a fire including my home studio, juggle with school, being able to process my oldest sister lost and having an emergency surgery.

All that has happened….

Is the only reason I am the person I am today. Without my Faith in God. Nothing I have would be possible.
