Meet Tiara Elise Hatley

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tiara Elise Hatley. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Tiara Elise, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

My work ethic comes from my upbringing. On my blog, MarineFlowBlog.com, I highlight coming from an entrepreneurial household.

Both my parents own and run businesses. They are also involved in community work and religious organizations that require consistency. Getting work done is a part of my nature as conducting business and organizing & participating in various events requires that quality.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

MarineFlowBlog.com is my website where I conduct essays with other women to express our professional point of views for everyday topics.

Marine Liquidity Fiduciary Flow Private Equity & Research LLC is my private equity firm backing the blog. The firm is conducting initiatives for ESG investments for the improvement of marginalized communities.

Before the Marine Flow brand was created, I started as a bird dog in the real estate investment industry. Learning that industry, I decided to publish a book and provide educational content on the Bird Dog Real Estate social media platforms and website.

By providing this information, the goal is to share less discussed topics amongst educational spaces to inform and encourage those from marginalized communities and environments.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Dedication, desire, discernment.

Looking at other people’s track records and reputation is of upmost importance before and in the beginning stages of collaboration. The discernment comes in for partnerships and if knowing whether an opportunity makes sense for the end goal or not. Sometimes it’s a great choice but wrong timing.

Dedication comes in to see through all obstacles that are placed or found in the way. Being patient with oneself and others involved is vital in these processes.

You must DESIRE to see the goal through! Dedication and discernment only work when one DESIRES to get the job done!

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

My family, my father in particular, showcased great patience in various aspects of life, including outside of work.

I’ve had inspirations in various industries throughout the years, and it’s important to understand that sometimes people are there to teach you for a short period of time. No one has all the answers. Especially in innovation, there will be many sources of wisdom, knowledge, and information.
