Meet Tiara Linda

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tiara Linda. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tiara below.

Tiara , we are so happy that our community is going to have a chance to learn more about you, your story and hopefully even take in some of the lessons you’ve learned along the way. Let’s start with self-care – what do you do for self-care and has it had any impact on your effectiveness?

I have chosen careers where I give a lot of myself to the world. I work with people closely, as close as you can work with a person without it being weird or inappropriate. That takes a lot of energy. One of my favorite forms of self care is isolating and resting in order to “power up”. Recovery time is important as it directly relates to our emotional state, our mental strength and physical health. One quote I keep in mind since rest was once something I struggled to prioritize is “You can’t pour from an empty cup” and isn’t that the truth! It’s so easy to get lost in the daily hustle and bustle of business but it has proven easier to knock out the day to day tasks when I’m well rested and feeling mentally physically and emotionally strong.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am a proud makeup artist and licensed esthetician with over 15 years of experience in the beauty industry. Originally from the Midwest, I made the leap to California in 2020, bringing with me a passion for soft glam makeup, precision eyebrow sculpting, and personalized skincare treatments that focus on correction and rejuvenation. My business, Tiara Linda Artistry, reflects my core values: sophistication, artistry, convenience, and a commitment to unparalleled customer service.

At the heart of my work is the belief that beauty is not just about appearance—it’s an act of self-care and empowerment. My role goes beyond enhancing someone’s outward look; I design personalized beauty rituals that help clients feel their absolute best. Whether I’m sculpting brows to perfection or crafting the signature soft glam look, my goal is always the same: to ensure every client leaves feeling confident, valued, and at peace with the investment they’ve made in themselves.

Becoming a licensed esthetician two years ago added another dimension to my practice. It’s incredibly special when clients trust me with both their beauty and skincare needs, often revealing their most vulnerable sides in the process. That trust is something I never take lightly, and it drives me to deliver results that are not just visually stunning, but also emotionally uplifting.

Looking ahead, I’m focused on growing Tiara Linda Artistry in the South Bay area and expanding my service offerings. I am excited to connect with new clients through exclusive events and tailored experiences designed to enhance their natural beauty and build confidence from the inside out.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

1. Product Knowledge and Skin Analysis:
As a makeup artist, knowing your products is essential, but being able to perform a thorough skin analysis elevates your work. Understanding a client’s skin type and condition helps ensure you choose the right products, which is often half the battle. It’s not just about applying makeup but ensuring the products complement the client’s unique needs, creating flawless, long-lasting results.

2. Technical Versatility:
Developing a technique that works across different skin types and ages is another key element. Mastering versatility allows you to adapt your artistry to every client, ensuring that each one feels seen and beautiful, regardless of their age or complexion. It also helps build trust, as clients know they’re in capable hands.

3. Exceptional Customer Service:
In my opinion, customer service is the most critical skill, not only in the beauty industry but in any business. Providing a great experience builds relationships, increases customer lifetime value, and keeps clients coming back. Happy clients become your biggest advocates, and that’s how you build a full and thriving book of business.”

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed with so many responsibilities pulling us in different directions. When I experience those moments, I find it helpful to take intentional time for myself. I step away from the noise to reset, using solitude as a tool to quiet my mind and reflect. During this time, I assess what needs my attention most, break down challenges into manageable pieces, and realign my priorities. This process allows me to re-emerge with a clearer mindset and a focused plan of action to move forward productively.
