Meet Tiara Tyree

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tiara Tyree . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tiara below.

Tiara , we are so happy that our community is going to have a chance to learn more about you, your story and hopefully even take in some of the lessons you’ve learned along the way. Let’s start with self-care – what do you do for self-care and has it had any impact on your effectiveness?
In 2020, when the world paused and we were all forced to sit down, it provided me with an invaluable opportunity for reflection and re-evaluation. That period made me deeply consider what I truly wanted out of life, both personally and professionally. During this introspective time, I incorporated several practices and mindsets into my life and work process.

1. Embracing All Emotions: I learned the importance of embracing all my emotions, acknowledging them as a valid part of my experience. This has allowed me to process feelings more healthily and authentically.

2. Viewing Life as an Evolution: I now look at my journey as an ongoing evolution. This perspective helps me stay open to growth and change, seeing each experience as a step in my personal and professional development.

3. Being My True Self: I strive to show up as my true self in every situation. This authenticity has been crucial in forming genuine connections and creating content that resonates with others.

At this moment, my self-care routine includes:

– Setting Boundaries: I’ve learned the importance of setting healthy boundaries, both in my personal life and work. This means saying no when necessary and protecting my time and energy.

– Checking My Ego: Regularly checking in with my ego helps me stay grounded and focused on what truly matters, rather than getting caught up in external validation or comparison.

– Re-parenting Myself: This involves nurturing and caring for myself in ways I might not have experienced growing up. It’s about giving myself the love, encouragement, and support that everyone deserves.

Taking my self-care routine more seriously has had a profound impact on my life. It’s not just about personal well-being; it extends to my professional life as well. My circle, both personally and professionally, started reflecting this change. I began attracting individuals and opportunities that resonated with my values and approach to life. This shift has not only improved my quality of life but also enhanced my effectiveness and creativity as a creative and entrepreneur. By prioritizing self-care, I’ve been able to bring a more focused, balanced, and authentic self to all aspects of my life.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
As the founder and creator of Potty Mouth Collective, my journey has been one of resilience, transformation, and now, expansion. The beginning of this journey in 2020 was in my bedroom, a space of introspection and rebirth after losing my job and the elements I thought defined me. This challenging phase was the catalyst for creating something truly unique – a community for those who felt disconnected and in search of a deeper, more authentic connection.

Potty Mouth Collective (PMC) started as a personal project to get out of my own way, which led to the creation of the “Thug That Shit Out” Collection. This collection encapsulated my journey of digging deep, pushing through adversity, and connecting with others on similar paths of rebuilding and resilience.

My unique background has significantly influenced the direction of PMC. These experiences have honed my skills in creating immersive brand experiences and storytelling through social media, shaping PMC into a brand that’s more than just products – it’s about community, connection, and shared narratives of overcoming and transforming.

I’m incredibly excited to announce the latest evolution of PMC – the launch of the brand as a creative agency. This expansion allows us to take our mission of empowerment and community building to new heights. We’re not just a brand; we’re a movement that’s about creating spaces for healing, connection, and personal growth.

One of the most thrilling aspects of this new chapter is the rollout of our “How’s Your Heart?” series. This series is all about healing and taking the time to create a soft space for oneself. It’s a call to slow down, reflect, and nurture our inner well-being. “How’s Your Heart?” is a reminder that amidst the hustle and challenges of life, prioritizing our emotional and mental health is crucial.

This series is a reflection of what PMC stands for – empowering individuals to look inward, find their strength, and embrace their journey with authenticity and resilience. We believe in creating experiences and products that resonate with our core message of transformation and self-empowerment.

I invite everyone to join us on this exciting new journey. Follow our social media channels and visit our website for updates on the “How’s Your Heart?” series, upcoming events, and new product launches. At PMC, we’re dedicated to supporting, inspiring, and growing together as a community. Join us in this journey of healing, empowerment, and creating spaces where everyone can thrive

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1. Resilience and Adaptability: The ability to bounce back from setbacks and adapt to changing circumstances has been crucial. Starting PMC during a personal low point taught me the importance of resilience. For those early in their journey, my advice is to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. Understand that setbacks are not failures, but rather stepping stones. Cultivate a mindset that views obstacles as chances to learn and evolve.

2. Creative Storytelling and Branding: My background as an experiential marketing operations manager and social media strategist has been instrumental in shaping the narrative and identity of PMC. It’s important to know how to tell your story in a way that resonates with your audience. For those starting out, focus on developing your unique voice and vision. Learn the basics of branding and marketing, and don’t be afraid to express your brand’s personality. Authenticity in storytelling is key to connecting with your audience.

3. Community Building and Networking: The creation of PMC was not just about a product, but about building a community. Having the skill to connect with others, understanding their needs and perspectives, and creating a space where they feel valued is vital. My advice for newcomers is to actively engage in networking, be it through social media, local events, or professional groups. Building a supportive community around your brand or project is as important as the product or service itself. Remember, your network is not just a resource; it’s a source of inspiration, feedback, and growth.

To those early in their journey, my biggest piece of advice is to stay true to your values and vision. Develop these skills and qualities, but also allow yourself the space to grow and evolve naturally. Don’t rush the process; great things take time. Be patient, be persistent, and most importantly, be kind to yourself along the way. Your journey is unique, and your voice is important. Trust in your ability to make a meaningful impact.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
