Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tichina Razor. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tichina, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
I had to remember that you might not be beautiful in everyone eyes. I know that we all have different looks and honestly I love the way that I look. When I was growing up I had a big insecurity problem. My face was darker than the rest of my body and I hated my nose. I hated my lips to the point I got lip fillers. I kept my nose the way it was because it makes my face. I feel like changing your nose is changing your identity in some way. Overall I had to love myself. I started doing my hair more and I started using the right skin care as I got older. I had to remember that God made me who I am and I had to love myself even if another person doesn’t. I love every part of me now and nothing can change that.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I own a business called Taylor Rouge. We specialize in women and men clothing. This company is only online for the moment, but I am working on opening a physical store soon. We have sales every month nearly and we have a 30% off coupon for first time customers. We want to show you that we are legit and not another online brand that wants to take your money and not send the product that you paid for. We are a black owned business also. We started early 2024 and we cannot wait to expand, gain more followers and customers. We have all sizes from petite to plus size. Every week we have new inventory that we know you all would love. Come check us out soon.
I’m also a female rapper from Philadelphia. I’ve been writing music since I was 10 years old. I used to be in a singing group with my old friends, but some wasn’t as serious as me. Now I rap and I love it. I have 2 songs on Apple Music, iTunes, YouTube, Spotify, TikTok and more. Music has always been my go to when I’m feeling sad, mad or even confused. I had my first performance about 2 weeks ago and I made it to the finals which will be in Chicago. Definitely look out for new music soon and collaborations with other artists in Philadelphia. I’m here to entertain and supply you excellent and affordable clothes.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Definitely have to be patient, open minded and dedicated.
My advice would be keep pushing no matter what. If you don’t have any supporters don’t let that discourage you. Be your own fan, supporter and hype man because sometimes you won’t have anyone in your corner. Don’t let nobody lie to you or scam you out of money. Stand on business and work hard.
Don’t ever give up because of one no. You will go through one hundred nos because you get to the yes. Stay positive and speak everything into existence. You got this!

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I’m looking for an investor that can invest in Taylor Rouge. It is so hard trying to get loans because of my credit history. I want to expand my business and open stores in California, New York, Atlanta and Philadelphia.
I also want to work with other music artists.
