Hi Tierra , so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?
I always stay positive! When you start to become successful, people will hate and try to discourage you. You can only control your actions and I choose to stay positive, stay cute and ignore the negativity. I surround myself with a supportive network of friends and mentors which has been invaluable to me. They remind me of my worth and keep me grounded. I stay true to myself and my vision, and remember why I started this journey. It helps me to rise above the noise and continue to thrive in my career.

I’m Tierra Jones, an actress and award-winning producer based in New York City. I have a deep passion for storytelling, both in front of and behind the camera, which drives my work and inspires me every day. My journey began in Atlanta, where I honed my craft with some of the best acting coaches and started producing my own short films, which won accolades at film festivals across the country. I’m currently acting in my first international film “Hotspots” based in Montreal, Canada starring and written by Toronto star Paul Matte IG @paul_matte, Directed by Daniel Reid IG @papa.png and esteemed Montreal Producer Arianda Toledo IG @ultima_esuna. If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Resilience has been essential in navigating challenges. It’s important to stay focused and keep push forward even when things get tough. Never give up on your dreams! Authenticity is what makes you unique and that will shine through in your work. Another quality that has been instrumental in my journey is faith. Faith in God, faith in myself, faith in my craft, and faith in the journey itself. Believing that I am enough and trusting the process has allowed me to stay grounded and focused, even when the path has been uncertain. Psalm 119:105
