We recently connected with Tiffany Bourne and have shared our conversation below.
Tiffany , thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?
Being in spaces where you stand out as an individual can be very intimidating. When I first began exploring the real world, I recall being in situations where I did not even feel comfortable interacting with anyone that did not look like me. However, as I have gotten older and more secure with who I am as a person, I have noticed that being the outlier is actually an advantage. When you are given the spotlight, you will be naturally intriguing to others. Individualism is something that you can use to your advantage to challenge preconceptions, initiate meaningful conversations, and expand your networking capabilities overall.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am a 27 year old content creator from New York. I gained a large following on YouTube from producing stripper vlogs & I am now the executive producer of my own show titled ‘The Retired Stripper Series.’ My series is a reality tv styled show that captures my journey to retirement from the strip club.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
My journey has been significantly shaped through these three qualities: my confidence, resilience, & the awareness of my purpose. All three of these skills correlate but, those who are seeking to better develop their skills should first focus on confidence, because that is the foundation for everything. Once you have confidence & a clear direction of who you are as an individual then, your purpose will naturally come to you. Once you discover your purpose, resilience will naturally arise because you will be living to fulfill that purpose no matter what life decides to throw at you.
Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
