We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tiffany Brown a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Tiffany , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
My purpose evolved at a young age learning how to braid my Barbie’s hair, many times styling my hair and my sister’s hair for each of their special occasions. Over the years as I advanced in my talents and knew if I set goals I would someday achieve them, and I did just that! Honing my artistry and my passion for hair, seeing how my styles are admired by many and being a pivotal role to restore the confidence through hair is gratifying. When I take a moment to reflect, I am reminded by my affirmations of living in my purpose. What once was a vision is now a reality.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1. Expertise: Within my profession it was incumbent of me to have the necessary education, skill and tools to perform at my greatest potential, for me that is the foundation. We all heard the saying before “it’s not always about what you know, but who you know”. Now, although there is truth to that statement, I do believe I should be knowledgeable amongst peers and have the ability to provide insightful awareness to clientele and to the general public. I take pleasure learning something new, it gives me a since of achievement and satisfaction. My expertise has allowed me a platform showcase and offer hands on learning session opportunities and harmonious collaborations.
2. Internal & External Self-Awareness: Navigating in a fast paced industry, I learned early on that it is warranted to set healthy boundaries in all aspects. Knowing I am my best representation of who I am personally, professionally and in work productivity. I think 1st, act 2nd and execute 3rd. There is a necessity of being present yet, sometimes know when to be still and that is simply ok and being intentional in all that I do. Ultimately a combination of those thing is what help keeps me dedicated to my artistry, genuine, grounded and humble throughout my career as I continue to thrive.
3. Resilience: Identifying and understanding that every plan may not always execute as expected, “at first you don’t succeed, try again” until I see the results I anticipated, be teachable and learn from constructive criticism, once I mastered that I became unstoppable.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
