We recently connected with Tiffany Gingrich and have shared our conversation below.
Tiffany, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
When I reflect on the journey that became my life, resilience has been an ever-present, vibrant thread woven throughout, illuminating even the darkest corners of my experiences. From unexpected challenges, like the curveball of breaking my neck and having to leave a career I loved, my life has been marked by both intense trials and beautiful triumphs. The resilience I’ve developed in facing adversity has always guided me toward brighter times. This writing is a celebration of perseverance and a tribute to a resilient spirit that emerged transformed from challenges. Recognizing these aspects within ourselves becomes a positive affirmation of strength and growth. I will speak on perhaps my biggest challenge—an event that could have taken me down but instead, remarkably, called forth and strengthened my resilience.
On a cold February evening, a driver crossed the center line, crashing into me head-on at 100 mph, resulting in a broken neck and head trauma. This led me to leave my beloved 20-year career in hairdressing. Enduring profound physical pain and emotional turmoil, I uncovered an inner reservoir of strength during this challenging but transformative period. Coping with relentless chronic pain, frequent procedures, surgeries, and the sudden career shift without formal training, I reflected on a deep-seated calling I’ve always had to serve others. Despite the frustrations and mental struggles brought by chronic pain, I sensed a deeper purpose in my heart.
I am forever grateful that, somehow, immediately after a spinal fusion, I found the strength to enroll in college as an adult learner, quickly earning a degree in psychology. I delved into Neuro Linguistic Programming, becoming an NLP practitioner/coach. This opened up a whole new world to me professionally.
Becoming a Transformational Mindset Coach, creating and leading transformative retreats in Mexico and Sedona, along with my private coaching sessions, has not only enriched the lives of my clients but has also brought immense positivity and joy into my own life.
Every client I’ve worked with has shared their transformative experiences, making my work incredibly fulfilling. I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals reach their personal goals and achieve sustainable changes. My passion for this work, combined with the flexibility to do it from home (on Zoom), regardless of my daily pain levels, fills me with gratitude.
All of this happened because of the strength I gained from the connection to my higher power that I only found as a result of the chronic pain, the love of my grown son, a circle of supportive friends, and I guess one could say an innate optimism that I do not take for granted. Living with debilitating pain, I refuse to be defined by my challenges. My resilience has not only allowed me to TRANSCEND adversity but has become the driving force behind a life lived with purpose, joy, and an unwavering commitment to inspire those around me.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
In my work, I guide clients in breaking free from limiting beliefs, unlocking their inner power, and creating transformative change in mind, body, and life. By blending the realms of science and spirit, I help them identify and release these constraints, creating an actionable plan that turns their dreams into a new reality. Together, we foster lasting, sustainable change through powerful mindset shifts in the subconscious mind and transformative habit changes.
On a personal note, my favorite role is being a mama to my son, Garrett. Outside of my coaching practice, you’ll often find me at the gym, lifting and embracing the strength and resilience of both body and mind. As a Certified Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) accredited by the Yoga Alliance, I infuse the principles of yoga into my life and work. Traveling is a major passion of mine, as is the exploration of healing, wellness, learning and spirituality. These parts of my life contribute to the holistic approach in guiding others on transformative journeys, helping them unlock their potential and create meaningful change in their lives.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Reflecting on my journey, I believe perseverance, a positive attitude, and seeking spirituality were the three key elements that shaped my path. Perseverance helped me navigate challenges, a positive attitude fueled my resilience, and spirituality provided profound strength.
For those early in their journey, I recommend cultivating a resilient mindset, embracing setbacks as possible opportunities for growth, and staying committed to your goals. Approach each day with optimism, focus on solutions, and surround yourself with positivity to enhance your well-being and attract opportunities. Explore your spiritual side for inner strength and nourishment through practices like meditation or mindfulness. Remember, the journey is as much about the lessons learned along the way as it is about reaching your destination. Embrace the process, stay positive, nurture your spiritual well-being, and you’ll find the resilience to overcome any obstacle.
How would you describe your ideal client?
My ideal client is someone at any stage of their personal development journey, whether just starting or already further along. Many face challenges like self-sabotage (procrastination, unhealthy habits, etc.) and persistent old patterns as they embark on a journey of personal development. The ideal client is open-minded, willing to explore their subconscious mind for growth, self-reflective, and courageous enough to confront self-sabotaging behaviors. They desire more joy, commit to actionable steps for transformation, and have a genuine passion for self-improvement, demonstrating enthusiasm for creating a life they truly love.
