Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tiffany Goode. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Tiffany, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
My confidence and self- esteem comes from putting myself in uncomfortable positions and surviving them. It lets me know that the true enemy in a situation only exists in my mind and if I can control that than I can do anything. I also try to avoid damaged people who live to damage others. I only allow people who speak positive even in criticism. I’m not anti-feedback. It’s necessary for growth and I welcome it. It’s how you handle the situation and me that makes the difference. I’m going to have people around that seek to build together not tear one another down. So every day I choose to push myself and my boundaries. I choose to be uncomfortable when necessary over comfort. I can do anything with my life, but I choose my purpose and passion over living a mundane and “secure” life. Let’s be clear, nothing is secure. As my brother Spinxx once said, I’d rather be at the bottom of a ladder I want to climb than in the middle of one I don’t. I am confident that I am on the path that God set out for me. That lets me know that I can’t fail as long as I continue to walk. It.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a musician and specifically a trumpetiste. A term first coined by female jazz trumpet great Clora Bryant as she made her mark beside the likes of Dizzy Gillespie and Louis Armstrong. I play jazz fusion and have played since I was in the 3rd grade. I have my band “The Goode Stuff Experience.” We have been blessed to be invited to grace stages in and outside of Georgia. I have had the opportunity to be on show bills with noted artists such as Anthony Hamilton, Julie Dexter, Lori Williams, Rhonda Thomas, Malcolm Jamal Warner, Mumu Fresh and Ceelo Green to name a few. I am also blessed to play in Orchestra Noir, Atlanta’s All African-American Orchestra and Sol Rizing, Atlanta’s all female reggae band.
I have three projects that can be streamed and bought anywhere, “Today Was A Goode Day,” “EnterGoodeLactic,” and “1217.” I am currently working on several new projects including my own. I also have some beautiful collaborations in the works. I am endorsed by Phaeton Trumpets and a the First Lady of Phaeton.
Feel free to follow me on IG or my website www.GoodeStuff.net because I do have some exciting projects in the works that I can’t speak about just yet.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I think three qualities or skills that helped me is understanding that everything that happens in life is necessary to get you to and keep you on your divine path. Secondly, I am a good people person and once you understand that people want to connect then everything else opens up. Either work on your people skills if it isn’t natural or have someone on your team that understands people. Thirdly, be yourself! The key to this thing is that you are the only one who can fulfill your mission this time around and you are divinely qualified to do so. Lean into that and keep moving forward.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I am always looking for beautiful artistic souls to collaborate with musically and otherwise. I am currently seeking videographers and social media experts. I do a decent job at these things but as things are becoming busier I require someone outside of me. I also am always seeking musicians to collab with. Nothing is more rewarding than the exchange of artistic energy. I could live off of that maybe even more than romantic energy. I can be pretty self sufficient and was taught that at a young age. But what can be achieved in collaboration is magical and exponentially beautiful and impactful. So if you are looking to build hit me on my IG: @lifesgoode.
