We were lucky to catch up with Tiffany Harvey-Horton recently and have shared our conversation below.
Tiffany, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
On the quest to find my purpose, I embarked on a soul-searching journey that led me to explore the idea of service – service to myself and service to the world. It all began during a dark period of self-analyzing when I questioned the deeper meaning behind my actions and the impact they had on others.
As I dug into the self-analysis of self, I realized that true fulfillment came not only from achieving personal goals but also from contributing to the greater good. I reflected on how can I be used in service to myself, and how can I use that service to benefit the world.
The first step was to understand myself better – my strengths, weaknesses, passions, and unique qualities. I took time for self-reflection and mediation during long walks and exercise, which allowed me to identify my core values and what truly brought me joy. Through this process, I discovered that my greatest sense of fulfillment came from helping others and making a positive difference in their lives.
Now I am armed with this newfound self-awareness and ready to conquer the world. I sought out to turn the passion for service into action. I volunteered at local community centers, served on not-for-profit boards, participated in charitable events, and joined causes that aligned with my personal values.
These experiences exposed me to very diverse perspectives and helped shape my understanding around the importance of empathy and compassion.
However, the journey hasn’t been easy. I faced many moments of doubt and even questioned whether my efforts were making a meaningful impact, or, if I was qualified enough to take on the task, or, if I had chosen the right path. During those times, I reminded myself that every act of service, no matter how small, had the potential to create ripples of positive change.
Through perseverance and a genuine desire to serve, I truly discovered an essential quality, and that is to view service as a way to connect with others and build meaningful relationships. As I engaged in different communities, I learned to listen actively, understand the needs of those around me, and offer my support in a way that was both empowering and fulfilling.
Over the time, the realization dawned on me that my purpose was to serve as a bridge – to connect the gap between individual growth and shared progress. I recognized that by nurturing my own well-being and personal development, I could be better equipped to serve others and contribute meaningfully to the world around me.
I often asked myself the fundamental questions of how can I be used in service to myself, and how can I use that service to benefit the world? It became a guiding mantra for me. It taught me that true purpose was not an isolated pursuit but a journey of interconnection, where the service to myself and service to others formed a harmonious impact.
Today, I continue to walk this path, finding purpose in each day by seeking opportunities to serve both myself and the world around me. It is in this journey of self-discovery and service that I have found profound meaning and a sense of belonging to something greater than myself, and never forgetting my WHY to serve!

Hello, my name is Tiffany Harvey-Horton. I am a proud Lindenwood University alum who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.
I am a powerful professional with a remarkable journey in both the corporate and entrepreneurial worlds. With over 17 years of experience in a fortune 500 company, I honed my skills in management, strategy, and brand development, excelling in every aspect of my career.
I am also the CEO of Tiffany INK, LLC, an established and thriving business that offers knowledge-based services, including marketing, advertising, event planning, and organization. With a special emphasis on being a top-tier event specialist. Tiffany INK has become renowned for it’s expertise in crafting brand storytelling, unforgettable and successful events, with a special focus on weddings and prestige gatherings that leave a lasting impression on clients and guests alike.
Tiffany INK works behind the scenes to make sure our client’s brand, or event exceeds their expectations. From setting strategic goals, to building custom marketing tactics, accompanied by event conceptualization, and venue selection we have a hands-on approach to making sure everything is cohesive. Beyond my professional accomplishments, I am equally dedicated to making a positive impact in communities. For more than 7 years, I have served on three non-profit boards as a Board of Director, contributing my time, expertise, and resources to catalyze meaningful change and support important causes close to my heart. Coupled with hosting local community outreach events that drove impact across the communities we live and work in.
I am an inspiring hard worker known for being resourceful, having organizational prowess, and unwavering focus on achieving excellence. Whether managing complex projects or orchestrating large-scale events, I consistently deliver outstanding results with a personal touch that leaves a lasting impression on my clients and collaborators.
If I had to sum up my characteristics, I would say I am timely, dependable, and passionate. I have a unique capacity to operate at a very high level, tackling challenges with grace and determination. The dedication to my craft, clients, and community is unwavering, and I continue to set new standards of excellence in my professional pursuits.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Hmm, looking back, the three qualities that were most impactful in my journey were perseverance, adaptability, and a growth mindset.
My advice for those early in their journey would be to cultivate perseverance by staying committed to your goals despite challenges, nurture curiosity by seeking to learn and explore new things, and embrace adaptability by being open to change, that may promote pivotal changes, and learn from failures.
Developing these qualities will help to navigate the journey and improve your path to success.
Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
As I reflect on the impact my parents work ethics has had on my life, I realize that my strong work ethic has deep roots in my upbringing. Growing up, I was fortunate to witness firsthand the dedication and passion my mother, an inspiring entrepreneur, poured into her business. From the early morning hustle at our Soul Food restaurant in East St. Louis, IL., to the late nights strategizing the daily operations, she taught me the importance of hard work and perseverance.
My father, a business-savvy leader, complemented my mother’s hustle with his wisdom and strategic thinking. Observing his leadership skills in action, I learned the art of making thoughtful decisions and navigating challenges with grace.
This combination served as the foundation for my own growth and development. Through their guidance, I discovered the value of commitment, adaptability, and continuous learning. I inherited the drive to excel and to never settle for mediocrity.
Now, as I embark on my path, I carry with me the lessons from both my mother and father. Their examples shaped me into the ambitious, resilient, and determined woman I am today. I owe my work ethic and success to them for teaching me that anything is possible.
