We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tiffany Jester a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiffany, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
As an entrepreneur, you have to have an optimistic mindset! You are going to face challenges and adversities that require you to have tough skin and an even stronger mental fortitude. It is in that season of doubt that you will have to learn to trust God fully and as well as the abilities and skill set that he’s given you to be successful. I’d have to say that I get my optimism from my mom. She’s help me to shift my perspective on how I see life and how I obtain my goals.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Tiffany Jester is the owner of Thee Chef J LLC and newly released company Cooking for the Culture. Tiffany has been in the education field for over a decade. Her passion for teaching is what lead to her niche of teaching youth how to create artistic eats in the kitchen. Tiffany opened her first take out eatery June 2021. Due to inflation in property taxes and overhead expenses, Chef J decided not to renew her lease. However, that has not slowed her down! She is actually in the process of going the mobile route! While transitioning into the mobile food service industry, Chef J continues to cater through-out the metropolitan area. She’s recently partnered with Douglas County parks & recreations where she teaches youth age groups 5-16 how to prepare artistic eats and nutritional meals. She looks forward to partnering with other county parks & recreation, boys’ and girls’ clubs and YMCA’s all across Georgia.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
While on this journey, I’d have to say that I’ve learned some of life’s most valuable lessons and some of businesses most sacred gems. I’ve learned to see the good in every situation. Sometimes those rough moments and storms that we experience in our lives can seem like the end of it all but instead of being anxious or reacting, I’ve learned to find peace in the midst of the storm. I never realized how impactful prayer and manifesting could be until I became an entrepreneur. Before any business decision I’ve learned to pray and ask God for clarity and/or permission to ensure that my plan aligns with is will. Learn to speak kindly to yourself while on your entrepreneur journey. Stick to the plan and stay consistent! Positive affirmations are definitely needed! Read them at the begging of your day, during the middle of your day and before you end your day; keep the good vibes going!
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Absolutely! Atlanta is Southern Hollywood! I am a firm believer that networking can open doors where some degree’s cant! I am looking forward to new partnership and opportunities to provide Foodgasms and artistic eats all over the nation! When looking for collaborations, I look for people who enjoy serving! I am big on customer service! For some entrepreneurs, it’s just a “hustle” for them. Yes, we are trying to make money and succeed but I’m also trying to change lives throughout the process. Success for me isn’t defined by how much money I have in my bank account but more so on how many more people can I help achieve their goals while achieving mine. The money is going to come. When you have a niche or a service that is top tier, customers will return; people always remember how you make them feel; especially in your establishment.
