We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tiffany Swinton. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tiffany below.
Tiffany, thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?
Honestly, being the only one in the room that looks like me has taught me so much about confidence and purpose. It’s not always easy, but I’ve learned how to walk into spaces where I might not see myself reflected and still know that I belong there.
Early on in my career, especially as a notary and business owner, I realized that I might not always fit the traditional image people expect. Instead of letting that discourage me, I let it motivate me. My goal has always been to show up prepared, professional, and authentic because I want people to see that excellence doesn’t have one look.
Over time, I’ve learned to embrace being the only one as an opportunity to represent my community and inspire others who might feel overlooked. It pushes me to be intentional about the way I serve, to build trust, and to create space where others can see themselves succeeding, too. I don’t just want to take up space in the room; I want to help open the door wider for the next person coming in behind me.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m the owner of Prestige Notary Solutions, where I provide professional notary and loan signing services that help make people’s important life moments a little smoother and stress-free. What started as a small idea has really grown into something that allows me to serve my community in meaningful ways.
Being born and raised in the Lowcountry and now serving six counties in South Carolina—Allendale, Beaufort, Charleston, Colleton, Hampton, and Jasper—and three counties in Georgia: Chatham, Effingham, and Liberty, helping a community is something I will never take for granted. Every day I get to connect with people from different walks of life, and it reminds me just how much trust is placed in what I do. That connection and responsibility mean everything to me.
What excites me most about this work is that every signing, every document, and every client represents a milestone in someone’s life. Whether it’s a first home, a new business, or an important legal decision — like a marriage, I get to be part of moments that truly matter. I take pride in creating a professional experience that’s also personable and trustworthy because I believe the small details make the biggest impact.
Something special about Prestige Notary Solutions is that it’s community rooted and built on integrity, reliability, and care. I’m multi-state commissioned and mobile, which gives me the flexibility to meet clients where they are, both literally and personally. I love the connections I’ve made and the trust people place in me to handle such important parts of their lives.
Right now, I’m focused on expanding my services and partnerships while continuing to educate others about the notary industry. I’m passionate about helping people understand how this work supports families, businesses, and communities every day. My goal is to keep growing while staying true to what makes my business personal, professional, and people-focused.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, I’d say the three qualities that have had the biggest impact on my journey are consistency, adaptability, and confidence.
Consistency has been key because success doesn’t happen overnight. There were moments where things were quiet or uncertain, but showing up every day, doing the work, and staying focused always paid off. For anyone starting out, I’d say don’t give up when it feels slow. Keep building your momentum even when no one’s watching, because that’s where real progress happens.
Adaptability has also been huge for me. The notary industry and business world are always changing, and I’ve learned to pivot when needed without losing sight of my goals. Being open to learning new things and adjusting to new circumstances keeps you growing. My advice is to stay curious and flexible, because every challenge is really just an opportunity to evolve.
And finally, confidence. There were definitely times when I doubted myself, but I learned that believing in your skills and your value changes everything. People can feel when you carry yourself with assurance. If you’re early in your journey, trust that you belong in every room you step into. Even when you’re still learning, show up like you deserve to be there, because you do.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Yes, absolutely! I love connecting with people and businesses that value integrity, professionalism, and genuine relationships. Collaboration has been one of the most powerful ways I have grown both personally and professionally, and I am always open to partnerships that align with those values.
Right now, I am focused on helping real estate professionals, title companies, and business owners simplify and elevate their client experience through trusted notary and signing services. I also enjoy networking with fellow entrepreneurs who are building their brands and finding creative ways to support one another. Anyone interested in collaborating can reach out directly through my business page or social media.
One thing I have learned on this journey is that success is just as much about mindset as it is about skill. Every challenge has pushed me to grow in ways I never expected, and I am grateful for it all. My goal is simple: keep showing up, keep learning, and create space for others to do the same. When people come together with purpose, incredible things happen, and I am excited to keep building, collaborating, and uplifting others along the way.
