Meet Tiffany, Veronica, And Andrea T.

We recently connected with Tiffany, Veronica, And Andrea T. and have shared our conversation below.

Tiffany, Veronica, and Andrea, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us today. We’re excited to dive into your story and your work, but first let’s start with a broader topic that might be stopping many of our readers from pursuing their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. How have you managed to persist despite haters and nay-sayers that inevitably follow folks who are doing something unique, special or off the beaten path?

Haters are going to be haters! I’ve always felt like if you don’t have haters you are doing something wrong. A lot of people doubted us. A lot of people who are close to us don’t think we will ever make it any further than we are now or believe the fact that we made it this far therefore they don’t support us. Don’t even let anyone dim your light or make you feel like you shouldn’t pursue your dreams. Keep doing you and keep pushing your forward. That’s exactly what we do. Your work will prove your haters wrong. We also move in silence. Sometimes if you don’t tell people what you are doing they won’t put anything negative in your head or make you doubt yourself. We don’t announce anything until it is completely finished. Then you can tell who are your haters by those who don’t congratulate you. Treat everyone accordingly. Its apart of the game. Haters come with success so if you don’t have haters, go harder until you get some! Also know that what God has for you no one can take so never let a hater think they can!

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

We are caters who have a love for cooking! It’s a God giving talent that was passed down from my grandmother and continues down to generations. Growing up we watched my grandmother cook. She cooked every Sunday and it brought the whole family together. Cooking was her love Language, and it is now ours. She would always say the best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach lol. . We would play our music and get to work. My mother and I became the “go to cooks” in the family when my grandmother became too ill to cook anymore. Through-out the years, our family would compliment our cooking and recommend us opening up a restaurant. It wasn’t until the pandemic in 2020 where we really started to think we should consider starting a catering business. It became a passion so deep in my heart I couldn’t shake it. I came up with the name Glori but didn’t know what to use it for. Glory in the bible means “The manifesting of God’s presence”. My grandmother’s name is Gloria. I dropped the A in Gloria and changed the Y in Glory to an I. God put it in my heart to make that the name of the business. I added Eats and Glori Eats was birthed!

What’s new for us is that we are starting to make the Adult Birthday Boxes that is trending now. Where you can get a meal, cake, and a drink all of your choice. We are excited about this and so it our customers. So please email us at glorieats@gmail.com if you would like one!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Three areas of knowledge is to love what you do, Invest in what you do, and budget yourself properly. I would add one. The money that you start making should go towards bettering your business first before you start accumulating the income for yourself. The saying is “it takes money to make money”. That is absolutely true. So don’t go into the business with only the income being the main factor because your business won’t succeed. Also, don’t start a business if you are not financially ready to. The journey is scary but it is beautiful seeing your dreams come to fruition. Just think of your business as you should view life as well. It will start off as a seed that you plant in the world, it will go through a season of slowly growing, and then you can harvest. Make sure you are sowing on good soil!

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?

The current obstacle we are facing right now is the inflation. The price of food has gone up tremendously since we first started. We are now placed in a position where we are having to charge our clients a little more which we don’t like because we know that they are impacted but the inflation as well. We also deliver our food and gas prices are high as well. Hopefully that changes in the next couple of months but we are working really hard with budgeting and not going outside of it. Investing in the business is important as well. Adding a saving account for the business is key to making sure you are not impacted too much by the inflation
