Meet Tiffany Williams-Parra

We recently connected with Tiffany Williams-Parra and have shared our conversation below.

Tiffany, thrilled to have you on the platform as I think our readers can really benefit from your insights and experiences. In particular, we’d love to hear about how you think about burnout, avoiding or overcoming burnout, etc.

In 2008 during a routine doctors check I was advised I was in the worse health I had been in and could have some serious complications if I didn’t make some healthy lifestyle changes. It was a rude awakening but in 3 years I released over 100 pounds. released toxic relationships, and started on a spiritual journey to find unconditional love for myself. I dove into self help books and started listening to transformational CD’s like “The Secret”, As a Man Thinketh, and Think & Grow Rich. I also started getting in the rooms at Lisa Nichols conferences and surrounding myself with people who I could learn and grow with. It was time for me to start getting out of my comfort zone. As I made this positive transformation in my Mind, Body, and Spirit and shared the journey, others started getting results and it sparked my passion to help them get fit in all area of their lives because it all runs hand in hand. This journey of getting out of my own way has been amazing. Even when I’ve tried to go back into that comfortable space, God keeps bringing me back to this path of sharing my personal journey of almost having that hamster wheel of life take me out. I’m looking forward to continuing the journey of making a positive impact in this world. I think we need more of that, don’t you?

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

After moving through my weight release journey and deciding to leave a somewhat toxic work environment, I went to another corporate environment where I wanted to bring healthy lifestyle practices to the employees but was challenged due to others not wanting to do the additional work with me. I think it was more of me showing them up by me adding more value to our employees lives, but that’s just my opinion. Anyway, after allowing the workload and stress of the organization to bring me to my breaking point, I took a doctor ordered “Time Out” and when it was time to come back COVID hit and the organization downsized more than half their staff. That moment was God’s way of telling me it was time get out of that space so I switched gears by starting to expand on my health and wellness knowledge. I partnered with some amazing mentors and coaches to create a very classy digital National Health & Wellness Magazine on the OWN It Magazine & Publishing platform and that was definitely a game changer. I was horrified and excited at the same time. Once I started getting my bearings more as an Entrepreneur, I followed my mentors lead on building a team of like minded individuals to collaborate with to create a place where we could together help people elevate their mind, body, and spirit. It’s so amazing what you can do when you have a group of individuals on the same mission. That’s how we get things done in life! We are always looking for contributing writers to partner with so if you are a coach, trainer, nutritionist, or health and wellness practitioner, I’d love to connect and get you featured! I have also been the visionary author for 3 women’s empowerment books and am the founder of the Girl Powerhouse Network, an international women’s empowerment group. This year me and some amazing women are launching a publishing company. It just makes sense with all that we do to help people birth and share their stories. We have multiple books coming out in the next year or so, including one for teens to share and heal. Lastly, I offer PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy and Sound Bath Sessions in my local area and just recently rolled out a new wellness program which will gives you a crash course on how to find the balance you need to flourish in all aspects of your life. Upcoming events: Book Signing and VIP Salt Cave Experience August 9th in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. and The 3rd Annual Girl Powerhouse Network Conference February 2025.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

After years of experience as an Human Resources Manager helped me to learn how to navigate through various personalities and gave me the ability to see people’s unique gifts they bring to the table. As a Gemini, I’m a communicator and I love people which helps me to talk to anyone in any room. I really don’t care who you are, I just want to get to know everyone I can. My ability to keep a smile on my face through the storms is definitely one of my superpowers. It shifts the energy in the room and has helped me turn many situations from a negative to a positive.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?

I grew up with a single mother that I tried to challenge frequently. When I was in my very early 20’s my mother kicked me out of her house because I was becoming more and more rebellious in her home and doing some reckless things. In my eyes, that was the best thing she could’ve ever done for me because it taught me how to be resourceful, more respectful, and it gave me faith in my abilities to be able to do things on my own. When you get thrown out into the sea of life on your own, you either sink or swim. I’ve been conquering the waves of the world ever since.
