Meet Tiffany Wilson

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tiffany Wilson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Tiffany, so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?

Persisting despite the negativity from naysayers can be challenging, but it’s essential for personal growth and success. Here are some strategies that have helped me stay focused and resilient:

1. Developing a Strong Self-Belief
Knowing My Value: Reminding myself of my strengths, accomplishments, and what I bring to the table. Confidence in your abilities helps deflect negativity.
Setting Personal Goals: Focusing on my own goals and ambitions rather than seeking approval from others. Having clear objectives keeps you motivated.
2. Maintaining a Positive Mindset
Positive Self-Talk: Countering negative comments with positive affirmations, encouraging myself and focusing on progress and potential.
Gratitude Practice: Regularly reflecting on what I am grateful for. This shifts my focus away from negativity and towards positivity.
3. Surrounding Myself with Supportive People
Building a Support Network: Surrounding myself with friends, family, and mentors who believe in me and support my endeavors.
Seeking Constructive Feedback: Focusing on feedback from those who have my best interests at heart. Constructive criticism helps you grow, unlike baseless negativity.
4. Learn from Criticism
Differentiate Between Constructive and Destructive Criticism: Constructive criticism can help you improve, while destructive criticism is often baseless and should be ignored.
Using Criticism as Fuel: Instead of letting the negativity drive you to prove the naysayers wrong, use it as motivation to work harder and achieve your goals.
5. Focus on My Progress
Tracking My Achievements: Keeping a record of my successes and milestones. Reflecting on your progress can boost your confidence and keep you motivated.
Celebrating Small Wins: Recognizing and celebrating my achievements, no matter how small. Each step forward is progress.
6. Staying True to My Values
Sticking to My Principles: Staying true to my values and beliefs. Authenticity builds self-respect and resilience.
Avoiding Comparisons: Comparing yourself to others can lead to self-doubt. I focus on my journey and growth.
7. Setting Boundaries
Limiting Exposure to Negativity: I reduce my interactions with toxic individuals or environments. I protect my mental space by avoiding negative influences.
Controlling My Online Presence: On social media, I’ve curated my feed to follow positive and supportive accounts thus limiting my exposure to online negativity.
8. Focusing on the Bigger Picture
Keeping My Vision in Mind: Staying focused on my long-term goals and vision. Short-term setbacks and negative comments are just small parts of the bigger picture.
Staying Persistent: Persistence is key to overcoming negativity. I continue to keep pushing forward, even when faced with obstacles and adversity.

Nay-sayers has fueled my determination to prove them wrong. Their doubts and criticisms has motivated me to work harder, stay focused, and achieve my goals.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

My journey into real estate began during my childhood. On the weekends my mom and I would visit beautiful homes. These outings, filled with awe and admiration, planted the seed of curiosity in my heart. I marveled at the architecture, the unique designs, and the stories each home seemed to tell.

As I grew older and pursued a college education, I earned a degree in Public Administration with a Concentration in Administrative Management from Cal State University Dominguez Hills. My academic background provided a strong foundation, but it was the early experiences with my mom that truly shaped my passion for the industry.

Now, as a REALTOR®, I help buyers and sellers navigate the complex world of real estate. However, my journey doesn’t stop there. Recognizing the importance of leadership and community, I took on a significant role with Women’s Council of REALTORS® in Long Beach serving as the Membership Director.

In my leadership position, I not only focus on membership retention and recruitment but also fostering leadership development among my peers. I believe that strong leaders are essential for the growth and success of the real estate industry. Through seminars and networking events, I have been instrumental with helping others develop their leadership skills, ensuring they are well-equipped to lead their teams and communities effectively.

Additionally, as a Realtist®, with the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB), I am a champion for democracy in housing. I am dedicated to advocating for the underserved to ensure that everyone has access to fair and equitable housing opportunities. NAREB focuses on breaking down barriers and promoting inclusivity in the housing market.

I am the embodiment of dedication, leadership, and service in the real estate industry.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The three areas of knowledge that have been most impactful in my journey are as follows:
1.Confidence and Self-Awareness
Knowing My Worth: Understanding my value and what I bring to the table, a unique perspective is a strength.
Being Authentic: Staying true to myself. Authenticity builds trust and respect.
Continuous Learning: Continuously improving my skills and knowledge. Confidence often comes from competence.
2. Building Relationships
Networking: Establishing strong relationships with other professionals. Connections can provide support and open doors.
Mentorship: Mentors have provided guidance and advice which ultimately has supported my growth.
3.Resilience and Adaptability
Staying Resilient: Challenges will arise, but resilience has allowed me to navigate them.
Adaptability: Being flexible and receptive to change. Adaptability is a valuable trait in any environment.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Yes, I’d like to collaborate with probate attorneys. My brokerage, The M & M Team Realty specializes in: probate, trust and divorce sales. As a dedicated and proactive realtor, forging connections with probate attorneys presents a valuable opportunity to expand and enhance both of our businesses. Probate attorneys, who handle the legal process of settling estates, often need reliable real estate professionals to assist with selling properties quickly and efficiently. By collaborating with these attorneys, I can become their go-to realtor, providing expert guidance and support to clients during challenging times. Also, I can refer clients to them who are in need of a probate attorney.
