We recently connected with Tiffany Yelverton and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiffany, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
My confidence and self-esteem have been shaped by a combination of personal development and self-awareness. Growing up in a family that valued personal growth and a positive attitude, I learned early on that with focus and effort, I could achieve anything. While I was shy and often experienced depression, this mindset was pivotal in helping me push through challenges.
In my early twenties, I was involved in a network marketing company that revolved around personal development. Learning from leaders like Darren Hardy and motivational speakers such as Jim Rohn, Brian Tracy, and Les Brown played a significant role in helping me overcome one of my biggest fears—public speaking. Facing and conquering that fear gave me a huge confidence boost, proving to me that growth often happens just outside of our comfort zones.
Additionally, the second layer to developing my confidence and self-esteem comes from fostering self-love through sexual pleasure. I found that using self-pleasure as the ultimate form of self-love, my confidence is off the charts. This pleasure time is just for me, not for anyone else. I harness the power of pleasure and climax, evoking a myriad of health, wellness, and stress reduction benefits from the release of endorphins, neurochemicals, and hormones. My personal favorite, Oxytocin, is also known as the cuddle chemical. When climaxing, oxytocin floods the bloodstream. When with a partner, it creates an emotional bond. With yourself, it creates self-love and builds confidence and self esteem. These practices, beyond their physical benefits, have provided me with a greater sense of power and emotional balance, which have translated into more self-assurance in both personal and professional settings.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Emboldening women to step into their sensuality and embrace their sexual power and prowess has been a cornerstone of my life’s work. For more than a decade I have been coaching clients in this arena and still do.
Now, I am moving into a broader roll of supporting female breast and genital cancer survivors in sensuality, intimacy and self-love after body-altering treatments and surgeries.
While survivors yearn for this support, the majority are tapped out financially and struggle to finance private coaching after extensive medical bills.
Survivors’ lives are affected by the traumas their bodies have endured. They don’t feel like themselves, they avoid mirrors, they hide their bodies. They no longer feel desirable, sexy and sex is painful. Parts of them that were equated as femininity by society have been altered. The return to “normal” is rife with emotional and psychological scars in addition to the physical. Often, they feel like their body has deserted them during illness. It takes work to see their bodies in a new light and to learn how to feel attractive again.
They are searching for answers. They tell me time and time again, sex and intimacy are their biggest hurdles during and after treatment. This can lead to the staggering statistic that women experiencing breast cancer treatment are twice as likely to be divorced during their journey than men going through prostate cancer treatment.
The problem is Cancer treatments, while saving lives, leave the majority of women with devastating side-effects impacting sexual health, self-esteem, and personal intimate relationships. Doctors are concerned with keeping patients alive, and the healthcare industry is stretched thin, making it difficult to foster added programs not in their realm of expertise. That is where we come in.
Sexy Survivors is the only pleasure-based support platform to empower cancer survivors to embrace their sensuality, revitalize intimacy, and fall in love with themselves after body-altering treatments and surgeries. Sexy Survivors is the only stand-alone digital platform provided by cancer treatment sites and delivered by certified Entice Me facilitators, anywhere and in a variety of languages, as part of comprehensive cancer survivor programs.
We are working to integrate our platform into cancer treatment centers and are launching an online funding campaign to support our efforts. The money we raise will be used to hire staff, create marketing materials, and secure the legal documents necessary to bring this much needed program to cancer treatment centers everywhere! Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Reflecting on my journey, these three qualities have significantly shaped my path: a passion for life and learning, strong business acumen, and unwavering confidence. Entrepreneurship is challenging with its share of highs and lows. I wish someone had shared this with me earlier.
Passion drives me each day. I wholeheartedly believe in my work and its importance in the world. The joy I find in it fuels my motivation. For those just starting out, remember to keep learning while also applying that knowledge, even if it’s imperfect. Don’t wait for everything to be flawless before you share it. It can be tempting to attend every webinar or workshop, but those activities don’t directly generate revenue. In fact, too much information can lead to analysis paralysis, hindering your ability to take action. Focus on learning what truly benefits your bottom line and enhances your clients’ lives; everything else is just noise.
It’s essential to understand your business and your numbers. While top-line revenue is sexy, ensure that profit flows down to the bottom line. One of the greatest obstacles to success is imposter syndrome. You must believe in yourself more than anyone else does. Finally, don’t forget to have fun along the way! Enjoying the journey is just as important as reaching your goals (almost.)
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Absolutely! I’m eager to collaborate and partner with others, as I believe we are stronger together and that our collective talents can create meaningful benefits for everyone. Introducing “Sexy Survivors” to the market and into cancer treatment centers is a new venture for me, and I’m navigating a space where I don’t yet have extensive connections as my core business has focused on B2B for the past 14 years.
I’m particularly interested in partnering with non-profits and professionals who are already active in cancer treatment and survivor communities. Additionally, collaborating with coaches and facilitators who are passionate about this mission would be a great asset. I am also in the process of developing an intimacy and pleasure-based membership site for cancer survivors and would love to connect with experts who want to contribute their skills and grow the membership.
