Meet Tihiau Carter

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tihiau Carter. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Tihiau , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
I get resilience from God and my own given strength. I have to live with me and the decisions I make good and the bad, but I keep pressing forward my purpose. My entire soul has never been settled anywhere I have been in life whether it’s a house,Job or in life period. Sure enough I have had hard times As far as not having no where to stay, transportation issues, support loosing all the support I had known at the time., but I never gave up. My resilience in my spirit would keep going no matter what it looks like I always keep going because that’s what helps mold you and build you into the person you need to become to achieve your goals.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The most impactful knowledge I would have is never believe it’s to late for a dream or a change in life or a career. Even if you have to do it alone and broke have faith that everything will work out. Always look for life to be supportive in unexpected ways to know you are relevant and your dream matters. Be your AUTHENTIC self no matter who rides your wave, ride your own wave till the wave goes to the tide. Never take to much advise because of you do you will loose focus on your thoughts and dreams…

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
The most impactful thing my mother did for me goes hand in hand with Faith in God and believing in me and telling me, Tihiau I have no doubt in my mind that you will be successful in whatever you do before she passed. I believe that my mother instilled unwavering faith and resilience on my life and God always give you at least one person that loves you outside of your parents and if not God does for sure.
