Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tim Birkey. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Tim with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I received my strong work ethic from my mother. She worked tirelessly to support my brother and me, often from the moment she woke up until she went to bed. We lived on a farm where we raised livestock, and she was always helping with the baby lambs and pigs. Watching her dedication taught me the value of hard work and perseverance.
I carry those same qualities with me today. I’m always looking for ways to grow, earn, and expand my skills—especially in customer service, which is essential to my real estate career. In addition to being a Realtor, I am also a Mobile Notary and provide mobile instant drug screening and ink fingerprinting services. I believe that in today’s world, you have to be proactive and resourceful to support your family, and that’s exactly what I strive to do every day.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
My name is Tim, and I grew up in Illinois. I hold an Associate’s Degree in Business Management. Fourteen years ago, I moved to Florida and have proudly called it home ever since. I became a Realtor seven years ago, and about a year ago, I expanded my services by becoming a Mobile Notary. I also offer ink fingerprinting and instant drug screening to stay active and productive when I’m not busy with real estate.
I truly enjoy helping clients buy and sell their dream homes. Providing excellent customer service is one of my top priorities, and I take great pride in going the extra mile to ensure a smooth and positive experience for everyone I work with.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I believe earning my Business Degree helped me realize that I wanted to work in customer service and sales. I truly enjoy getting to know my clients and learning what they’re looking for. Along the way, I’ve made a few mistakes, but I’ve learned that it’s important to bounce back and keep moving forward.
If you have a goal or dream, go for it—set your sights high and don’t look back. Education and continual learning are key to growth, both personally and professionally. I’ve been around sales my entire life; it’s in my blood. I’m passionate about what I do and always strive to provide the best service possible while inspiring others to chase their own dreams.
