We were lucky to catch up with Tina Moghaddam recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Tina, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.
I overcome imposter syndrome by reminding myself that I deserve to be where I am because of my hard work and the trust others have placed in me. As a full-time content creator, it can be challenging not to question your worth or feel like you’re not enough. However, a crucial mindset shift is recognizing that you are in the spaces and opportunities you’ve earned because of your unique talent and dedication. Self-doubt is merely a limiting belief, and it doesn’t define your potential.
One of the best strategies I’ve found is to focus on progress. Regularly reflect on how far you’ve come, the skills you’ve mastered, and the milestones you’ve achieved. Documenting your successes—whether it’s positive feedback, a successful campaign, or personal growth—can serve as a powerful reminder of your value.
Equally important is avoiding comparisons. “Never compare where you don’t compete” is a mantra I hold close. You are uniquely you, and that individuality is your greatest strength. Embrace it, celebrate it, and let it guide your creative journey.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Hi, I’m Tina Angelina, a full-time UGC creator specializing in creating ads for brands and organic content. My journey began a year ago after being let go from my corporate job in December 2023, just a week before Christmas. I vividly remember stumbling across UGC (User-Generated Content) last summer and seeing creators talk about making $10k months. At first, I thought it was too good to be true—a pyramid scheme, perhaps—and doubted that regular people could genuinely make a living off social media without being influencers. But curiosity got the better of me, and I started researching.
To my surprise, I discovered it was real. With an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong sense of discipline, I had always dreamed of finding a career I truly loved, but I wasn’t lucky in my corporate journey. In one year, I moved between four jobs due to mistreatment or a lack of fulfillment. None of them aligned with my purpose or calling. Becoming a UGC creator changed everything. It allowed me to connect creativity with business in a way I never imagined, crafting content that feels like art while partnering with brands to bring their visions to life.
UGC is a unique and exciting form of creation because there’s a strategy and formula behind it. The process of working with brands is not only rewarding but also educational. Here’s how it works:
First, you need to brand yourself as a UGC creator by creating dedicated social media platforms labeled specifically for UGC.
You begin posting examples of your work and consistently show up as a UGC creator while building a portfolio with samples ranging from ads to organic content.
From there, you stay active and keep posting until you land your first deal.
Once you secure a partnership with a brand, the logistics begin. You negotiate rates, sign a contract (either provided by you or the brand), and start crafting scripts or concepts tailored to the brand’s goals. Once your script is approved, you begin filming, editing, and delivering the content for final approval. After everything is complete, you send an invoic e and agree on the payment terms. And just like that—congratulations—you’ve completed your first successful campaign!
My journey as a UGC creator has been an incredible learning experience. It’s not just about making content; it’s about finding joy, fulfillment, and purpose in a career where your creativity and business acumen come together. If you’re thinking about exploring this path, I encourage you to take that first step—you won’t regret it!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, I believe the three key skill sets that kept me going are my resilience, my genuine passion for social media and content creation, and my positive mindset. I’ve always believed that nothing in life comes easy—it has to be earned. However, with hard work, determination, and consistency, you will always move closer to where you want to be, as long as you stay true to yourself and show up authentically.
In the early days of my business, I made a lot of mistakes. Even now, I’m still learning and evolving through trial and error. One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned is the importance of planning and writing everything down. Organization and attention to detail are absolutely crucial, especially early on. Developing these skills will save you an immense amount of time and energy in the long run, allowing you to focus on what truly matters: growing, creating, and thriving.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
The obstacle I am currently facing is how to scale my business and work more effectively. As someone who is currently managing and handling all the backend things of running a business myself, I am looking to hire additionial help. Although I am someone who likes to do everything myself, Asking for help is okay and often time necessary in certain scenarios. I am also wanting to expand on working on quality over quantity. Meaning cultivating less brand deals but higher pay and better quality/ creatives that go into it. I am also feel the time of year again of burnout and I am about to be at the one year mark. I really want to tell myself that taking breaks are okay and necessary. Sometimes breaks will help you come back stronger and better as a creative.
